Winter Sports
Boys Basketball
The Varsity Boys Basketball Team, under
fourth year Head Coach Adam Sidrow, is
in the final stages of a roller-coaster
season. The team missed qualifying for
the Bergen County Jamboree by one
game, but they did qualify for the State
Tournament.
Girls Basketball
The Varsity Girls Basketball Team,
under Head Coach David Cieplicki, is
having a great season. The team
qualified for the County and State
Tournament again this year. One of the
senior basketball players was recognized
as the Record’s “Athlete of the Week” for
her stellar performance play against
Dwight-Morrow.
Boys and Girls Indoor Track
The boys and girls, under Head Coach
Martin Caspare, have competed in a
number of indoor meets and have won
more medals this season (68) than any
DHS team in the past. At the Bergen
County Relay Championships on
January 27, the 55 meter shuttle hurdle
relay team broke a 48 year old school
record and placed second in the small
school division.
Wrestling
The Wrestling Team, under Head Coach
John Monaco, has made significant
progress this season. The number of
wrestlers involved and the skill levels have
increased this season. Four wrestlers
medaled in the District 7 Tournament
and advanced to the next round of the
State Tournament.
