What is BRICK?
BRICK stands for Backup Related Information Collector and Keeper. BRICK supports HP Data Protector
Administrators in documenting the Backup & Recovery environment. Brick can also be used when opening service
requests (Support Case), providing a minimum subset of information needed.
BRICK is free of charge, there are no costs associated with using the tool and no license is required to activate or
run the tool. The software runs on Data Protector for Microsoft Windows, HP-UX and Linux (RedHat / SLES /
CentOS) and operating system and is supported for the HP Data Protector versions 8.XX and 9.0X, even if the DP
