Object pronouns are attached to the end of the affirmative command forms.
This often involves the placing of a written accent:
Escrbale usted; cmelo; dgamelo; mndamelos, etc.
But: hazlo; dime; etc. (no accent when the command is a one-syllable word).
Object pronouns are placed immediately before the negative command forms:
No me hables; ni me lo digas; nunca te levantes; jams se duerma usted; no se te o
lvide.
The present subjunctive is also used in the following expressions:
1.Comamos.*Let's eat.
Cantemos otra cosa.* Let's sing something else.
Sigamos durmiendo*.Lets go on sleeping.
Common exception: vamos *let s go.
Personal pronouns follow their usual pattern of being joined to the end.
Escribmosle.* Let s write to him.
Prestmoselo.* Let s lend it to him/her.
When se or nos are used, as in prestmoselo, the verb drops the final s:
Sentmonos.* Let s sit down.
Vmonos.* Let s leave.
2. Que lo hagan ellos.*Let them do it, have them do it (I don t want to)
Que vaya Pedro.*Let Pedro go (not me)
3. Wishes:
Que te diviertas! * Have fun!
Que disfruten (de) la pelcula.* Enjoy the movie. (you all)
Que se mejore.*Get better (health).
Que te vaya bien. *
May you do well / Be well.

The adverbs todava and an both mean still/yet, and can be placed before or after
the verb:
Le pareca imposible que estuviera lloviendo todava (an).*It seemed impossible to hi
m/her that it was still raining.
An (todava) no haba comenzado a nevar cuando ocurri el accidente.*It hadn t started
snowing yet when the accident happened.
~ Note: Only before or after comparisons (ms, menor, peor, etc.), can even be tra
nslated as todava or an:
Es an mejor de lo que pensaba.* It s even better than I thought.
~ Keep in mind that English still and yet are also conjunctions meaning however
or but.
In these cases other Spanish expressions must be used, such as sin embargo, con
todo, pero, mas:
She s smart, yet selfish *Es lista, pero egosta.
Ya has several uses, but its most common meanings are already and now for affirm
ative sentences, and not anymore for negative sentences. It s usually placed bef
ore the verb:
Ya vuelvo / regreso.* I ll be right back; I m coming back right now.
Ya se les habr olvidado.* They will (may) have forgotten by now.
Ya han devuelto los libros.* They have returned the books already.
Ya almorc / Ya he almorzado.* I( ve) already had lunch.
