SAFEGUARDING TRAINING NOVEMBER 2015

LEARN ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES


IN A CHURCH SETTING
COME and ask and have your questions
answered about your safeguarding
responsibilities within a Baptist church.
What? Two levels of training Level 2
and Level 3 - attend one level, or both.
How much? 5 per person per level.
Where and When? In Leeds and in
Beverley see overleaf for details

Level 2 Training is aimed at ministers, deacons, elders, trustees, the designated person for
safeguarding, plus those who work directly with children and young people.
Cost for Level 2 - 5 per person
It covers: Definitions, signs and symptoms of abuse
What to do if abuse is disclosed/suspected
Good practice
Risk assessments
Safe recruitment
Abuse of trust
Texting, Facebook, etc
Level 3 Training is aimed at ministers, deacons, elders, trustees and the designated person
for safeguarding.
Cost for Level 3 - 5 per person
It covers further help on what to do if a disclosure is made or you discover abuse has taken place/is
taking place: The need for effective policies and procedures
Offenders
Securing and recording evidence
Role of church leaders in dealing with safeguarding situations.
The sessions will be delivered by one of our YBA safeguarding trainers

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Places must be booked in advance as space is limited and the certificates will be prepared in
advance of the day.

Booking deadline for Moortown - Friday 13th November
