OCTOBER NOTES

On the eve of All Saints Day October 31, 1517,

Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the door of
the Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany.

Our very own Super Sam Engman will soon celebrate

his 4th birthday and wants YOU to come help
celebrate!! While he would like you to dress as your
favorite superhero, hell be vey happy just to see you.
Instead of birthday gifts, youll find out about Sams
heroic Batten superheroes and create special gifts filled
with super powers that will be sent to help them fight
Battens disease.
Donation ideas include: encouragement cards (with
textures or sounds), stickers (textured, smelly or raised),
puffy paint, glitter glue, airplane gliders, fun superhero,
princess or character fabric (1 yard), Disney soundtrack
CDs or any other flat, encouraging toys.
Please remember many of Sams Batten superheroes are
blind and we want to send encouragement items they can
enjoy with their other senses.
Please join Sam (and of course the rest of his family) on
Saturday, October 3rd from 9:00 am 11:30 am (come
and go as you are able) in the Loomis Center.
