The Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (SBIC) is

largest one in Vietnam in the field of Shipbuilding
Industry. Its operation has grown rapidly over the last
years, from its infancy to the receipt of the first
international order to many international orders from
major shipping companies. The Corporation offers a
wide variety of new building choice from bulk carrier,
container ship, oil tanker, car carrier to other custom
made-to-order ships.
The Corporation has advanced, large production
lines and facilities as well as young and dynamic
engineers, experienced managing staff, technilal
skilled workers who have been trained locally in
Vietnam and in advanced shipbuilding countries
worldwide. Now we are applying ISO 9001:2008
Quality Management System.
The Corporation operates under the parent
subsidiary model, maithly focusing on new
shipbuilding and ship repairing in combination with
supporting industries, serving shipbuilding industry in
oreder to creat a close relation between the production
and business activities.
Now the Corporation has 8 subsidiaries, including
shipbuilding companies like Bach Dang, Pha Rung,
Ha Long, Song Cam, Thinh Long in the North, Cam
Ranh in the Central and Saigon, Saigon Shimarine in
the South areas of Vietnam.
Vinashin has three shipbuilding center in the
Northern, Central and Southern areas

Trong thi gian qua, Tp on Cng nghip tu thy Vit
Nam (nay l Tng cng ty Cng nghip tu thy - Sbic)
u t, xy dng v ci to nng cp mng li cc nh my
ng mi v sa cha tu khp 3 khu vc Bc, Trung ,
Nam. Cc tng cng ty ng tu Nam Triu, Bch ng, Ph
Rng ra i, c trang b cc thit b sn xut v dy
chuyn cng ngh ng tu hin i nhm thc hin mc
tiu n nm 2010, cng nghip tu thy Vit nam t 1 t
USD tu xut khu, 3 triu tn tu cc loi cho cc ngnh
vn ti bin, du kh v.v..
Sbic s ng mi c cc loi tu ch hng c trng ti
ti 300.000 dwt, tu ch container, tu cng trnh, tu ko
y, cu h, tu LASH, tu tun tra, tu ch t, kho du
ni v.v.. Sa cha ng b t cc phn v, my, in, in t,
thit b iu khin t ng cho cc loi tu c trng ti ti
400.000 dwt.

Ship newbuilding
VINASHINs shipbuilding operation has
grown rapidly over the last ten years, from its infancy
to the receipt of the first international order to many
international orders from major shipping companies.
VINASHIN offers a wide variety of new building choice
from bulk carrier, container ship, oil tanker, car carrier
tho other custom made-to-order ships, all with sizes
ranging from smaller sub-handy size to VLCCs.
Key customers include VINASHINs longstanding
domestic clients and many other international market
players to name a few, like Graig investment Ltd (UK),
Ray Shipping (Israel), Hoegh Autoliners (Norway),
Clipper (Denmark) and other respectable names from
Japan and Korea.
The Group is continuing the implmentation of the
plan of construction of new-typed ships with higher
level of complexity underway, such as 4.900 and
6.900 unit car carrier to be exported to Israel and
Norway. A number of multi-purpose cargo ships, for
instance Japan, Republic of Korea, Great Britain,
Denmark are being built in various ship-building yards
of VINASHIN.
Ship repair
Vinashin is capable of carrying out various types
of repair, conversion and modification works of vessels
like cargo ships, tankers, container vessels, car
carriers, LPG and LNG carriers, rig oil platform,
dredgers etc at a most competitive price and short
time. Further more, Vinashin is confident in offering a
good services to our customers by way of having the
steel works to the high reliable standard.
Almost repairing works are performed at Bach
Dang, Pha Rung, Hyundai-Vinashin and Saigon
Shipmarin shipyards.

SUPPORTING INDUSTRY
As Vinashin's shipbuilding spearheads, heavy
industries that support shipbuilding industry are
in focus and also advance. With a large number of
subsidiaries specialized in steel, large engines,
and
marine
equipment
manufacturing,
VINASHIN greatly contributes while Vietnam is
changing from an agricutural country to an
industrialzed nation.
Starting with Cai Lan Steel Plate Mill Quang Ninh Province at 500,000 tons per annum
capacity, VINASHIN currently owns a group of
largest steel mills in Vietnam wih total capacity of
5 million tons per annum. Looking beyond downtream sector, VINASHIN prepares to be the first
fully integrated steel producer in Vietnam.

hm hng, cn cu, ti cc loi, h thng neo, h thng li,
h thng cu sinh

Khu Cng nghip Lai Vu - Hi Dng: Vi t hp gia
cng c kh chnh xc, c kh nng chuyn ch to cc loi
pistong thu lc, nh my sn xut container, nh my sn
xut block tu thu, nh my g ni tht, nh my ch to t
bng in, dy cp in, nh my sn xut cc loi ph kin
ng ng, nh my sn xut dy thp cng cao, nh
my sn xut xe my v ph tng tu thu.
Ngoi ra, Sbic ang tho lun vi cc n v cng nghip
c kh ch to trong B Quc phng, B Cng thng, c

Being a licensee of all major large marine

engine brands such as MAN diesel,
MITSUBISHI, and WARTSILA, VINASHIN
target to be one of the leading large - sided diesel
engine manufactures in the world. VINASHIN's
first engine factory will be operated in January,
2010 and the second factory will follow in 2010.
Serving larger new building project such as
VLCC/VLOC, the third major engine factory is
under planning in Dung Quat Shipbuilding
Industrial Zone.
VINASHIN's eight other manufacturing
companies are aggressively investing in lastest
technologies to manufacture diesel engine parts,
marine equipment and industrial parts. These
companies play vital roles setting the foundation
for VINASHIN's heavy industry sector.
Developing
supporting
industries
for
shipbuilding has been necessary for Vinashin in
order to have 60 pecent of locally-made materials
by 2010.
So far Vinashin already has established JS
with local and JV with foreign partners to
produce marine equipment and material such as:
shipbuilding steel plate in Cai Lan Steel Plate
Mill and in Cuu Long - Vinashin Steel JSC,
welding material in Nam Trieu Welding Material
Factory, bronze propellers with diameter up to 3m
in Nam Trieu Casting Factory, ship interior
material and outfittings in Sejin - Vinashin JVC,
marine containers in TGC JVC, technical steel
such as blocks, flat segments and block curves
etc. in Songsan - Vinashin JVC, marine
equipment like marine cranes, hatch covers, RoRo ramps, container lashing etc. in MacGregor Vinashin JVC.
