Bogota is the capital of Colombia; it is located in

the Center of the country, in the Andes Region.

FUN ACTIVITIES

Bogota has a population of 8.000.000 million

people. The city sits about 2600 meters above
sea level.

If you travel to Bogota, you have to visit

Cerro de Monserrate, where you will have
an amazing panoramic view of the city;
there, you can see by telescope the north,
south, east and west of the city.

Bogota is everybody`s city, where you can find

people of other cities around the world.
Therefore, in this city you can find a lot of
restaurants and not only of Colombian food.
Because, there are Mexican, Asian and
European restaurants, where you can try many
dishes.
But, if you want to try typical dishes, you can find
family restaurants in every neighborhood, where
you can try ajiaco, tamal, changua, etc.
Also, you can visit La Candelaria that is located
in the east of the Bolivar Square, there, you can
visit traditional restaurants and you will enjoy
seeing the colonial part of the city

Also, there are many museums where you

will see and hear interesting things about
the history of Bogota and Colombia.

On the other hand, if you want to dance

and share time with your friends. You
should visit the T Zone, that is located in
the north of the city, there, you can find
good dining, night clubs, shopping malls,

Unfortunately, not all is good in Bogota,

there are some aspects that worry people
who live here, like the public transport,
because it is so crowded and there are few
freeways in the city and a lot of cars. So,
the traffic is terrible.
Besides this, Transmilenio, that is
considered the safest and fast bus service
in the city, nowadays it has some problems
of security and it is always full, especially
during rush hour.
Another problem in Bogota is the security,
particularly in the downtown there are
thefts everyday in the streets and also in
the buses. Another problem in Bogota is
the security, particularly in the downtown

also in the buses.
All those problems do a bad image of the
city. I think that if the citizen begins to be
more cooperative, things maybe change a
little, and of course it is necessary to
choose a good government to have a
better city.

Even so, the cost of living in Bogota is

cheaper than other cities around the world,
for example, to live in Bogota is 40%
cheaper than Brasilia. It is 47% cheaper
than Montevideo too.
In addition, Bogota is between the 10 best
cities for doing business.
Moreover, I think the most important
aspect is that people who live in Bogota
are happier than people of other cities like
Paris and Berln.
In conclusion, Bogota is a city of contrasts.
Many colors, music, people, food...

A place you must visit...
