Thoughts and Prayers…As you may know, our 8th Grade Boys Basketball and 6th Grade
Girls Basketball Coach, Starla Williams, was in a serious car accident. Many of you have come
to know her over the course of the year. She has earned the love and respect of everyone
involved in Emmons basketball and beyond. A CaringBridge website has been set up by Starla’s
father to keep you up to date. Visit the website at the following link:
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/starlawilliams. Additionally, Emmons School has also
established an account at State Bank of the Lakes called the Starla Williams Benefit Fund to help
defray some of her medical costs. Donations can be sent to State Bank of the Lakes, 440 Lake
Street, Antioch, IL 60002, Attention: Starla Williams Benefit Fund.
The thoughts and prayers of the Emmons Staff and Students are with Starla and her family
during this difficult time.
