Homework Response Two

Research is gathering information and physically searching for it yourself. It can be about a
certain topic, issue, or concern; but there certainly is research on almost every subject. By doing
research, it serves the purpose of explaining a certain topic. Also, by searching a certain topic it
will help the researcher explore the area that they are interested in.
Rhetorical Analysis: A response that reflects on a non-fiction work and explains
how it were to create a certain effect; whether its to persuade, entertain, or inform.
Critical Reflection: The act of looking back on your previous thinking and
formulating a more in-depth observation about it.
Knowledge of Conventions: Rules and guidelines that a person can follow in
order to act appropriate or inappropriate.
Composing Processes: Knowing that writing is a process which takes thought
and effort, rather than just a product.
Critical Reading: Before the writing process when you have to do the
research/reading on a given subject.
- In order to write a research paper, a rhetorical analysis must be done so the
reader can understand the effect that it has.
- A critical reflection is done after the paper has been written and is in the final
review stage.
- For an author to write a research paper, they must know proper etiquette when
creating this so that they do not sound unintelligent.
- The mentality behind creating a paper and knowing how much effort and time
you are going to have to put forth to achieve the goal of an overall paper.
- This overall will affect your research tremendously, which can then lead to a
better paper/product.
