Introduction:
On 01/23/2014 Detective Mackiewicz, Posseman Michael Zullo and I traveled to Bellevue Washington in the
furtherance of an 1mdercover investigation. Detective Mackiewicz and Posseman Zullo will stay in Bellevue
.. Washington for an extended time requiring alternative lodging.
Narrative:
On 01/23/2014 Detective Mackiewicz, Posseman Michael Zullo and I traveled to Bellevue Washington in the
furtherance of an undercover investigation. Mackiewicz and Zullo will be required to remain in the Bellevue
Washington area until approximately March ih 2014. At the current federal lodging rate of$151.00 a night both
investigators would b~ staying approximately 44 nights for an approximate total of $13.288.00. An additional charge
of$36.00 a night for parking exists bringing the total to nearly $14,872.00.

In the interest of cost efficiency, alternative lodging was identified through ABODA Cmporate Housing. A four
bedroom house is now available for $191.00 a night. This is $33.00 more than the apartment already approved. For
the remaining 33 anticipated days of this investigation it is an additional $1,089.00. Within those 33 days itis
expected that I will be returning to Washington several times and was originally slated to continue to use a hotel for
lodging at the $151.00 a night rate. The ability to utilize this home in lieu of the hotel will be cost productive after
only 7 nights. Travel for three nights has aheady been approved for this week alone. Therefore I believe it is fiscally
responsible to change our lodging accommodations to this house instead of the prior approved apartment.
In addition to the obvious cost savings, the fourth bedroom will be used directly in the investigation for storage and
use of materials being processed in this investigation: This will be a massive improvement in the security and
integrity of evidence in tbis investigation.
ABODA is willing to accept payment from the MCSO Travel Division.
I am requesting permission to authorize the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Travel Division to pay for the above
stated lodging. All appropriate documentation and record keeping will be strictly adhered to.
