Usingofficerstotrainothers:sometimeyouget
anofficerwithamarkskillthatyoucoulduseon
yourmainofficer.Beforeemployingthisofficer,

employedofficers.Thiswillreplacehisskill,and
removethenewofficer.
Promotions:Onceyougetmorelevels,youcan
promoteyourofficerstotherankbelowyou.This
willgivethemaccesstohighertierskills.Butyou
canonlyusethespaceskills,ifyouhavetheright
slotsonyourship,orelsethoseskillsmustremain

Yourshiphaveacrew.Escortshavethesmallest,

largeamountofcrew.Whatcrewdoes,isthatthey
decidetherepairrateofyourship.Thelargerthe
crew,themoreyoucanlosebeforeitstartsto
reallyaffectyou.Yourcrewgetsinjuredanddies
whenyouareincombat.Iftheyareinjured,they
willslowlyreturntoduty,whilethedead,haveto
bereplacedatastarbase.Certainskillsarebasedof
yourcrewaswell,withthemostnotablebeing

boardingparties.Cruisershaveadditionalengineer
bridgeofficerstationsandconsolemodification
slots.Cruisersadaptwelltomostsituations.They
cansupportothershipsinafleetoroperatewell
ontheirown.
Yourcrewalsohaveaninfluenceifyouarebeing
boarded,sothemorecrew,thebetter.Taking
torpedoandminehits,willhavea50%chanceof
losing20crew,sobewareofgettinghittoooften.
Impulsespeed:Youenterimpulsespeed,by
pressingthedoublearrowupsymbolonyour

within64kmandcloser.Especialycannonsneeds
tobeclosetodothebestdamage.
Torpedoes:thesedomassivehulldamage,butare
wastedonshipswithfullshields.Butwhentheir
shieldsaregone,lookoutformassivehits.Also,all
torpedoesnowgivesa50%chanceofkilling20
crewmembers.Whichwillslowothersrepair
ability.
Donotethatquantumtorpedoeshitharderbut
havelowerdps.Thatisbecausetheyfiremore
slowly,buttheydomoremassivedamageagainst
hullwhentheydohit.Soifyouaregreatattiming
thehits,usetheseinsteadformoredamage.
EquippingDualLaunchers:It'sactuallynotabad

PlasmaTorpedoes:Theplasmalauncherdoesless
directDPSthanquantumsbutputsaplasmaburn
DOTonthetarget.Thiscanbeparticularly
advantageousagainstacraftwthfastregenshields.
Highyieldingaplasmatorpcreatesaverylarge
slowmovingglobofplasma.Thisistheoneyoucan
shootdown.Launchitatcloserangeintoatarget
withtheirshieldsdownandthey'reprettymuch
done.
Mines:Haventfoundthemthatusefulyet,
becausetheyonlydogooddamageagainsttargets
withnotolittleshielding.Buttheyareawesome
liketorpedoswhentheydohitsomeonewithout
shields.Ionceinmycruiserlaidalongtrailof
mines,andsuddenlythebigtargetstarted
attractingthemallatonceboom.Mineslast2

minutes,soyoucanhaveroughly8setsofmines
outatthesametime.Nowthisisdevastatingtofly
into.Remember,minesstarttoautotargetenemis
thatgetscloserthan34km.
Also,mineshavea50%chanceofkilling20crew
membersonexplosion.
Shields:Thereare4typesofshieldstostartwith.
Standardshield,withnormalhitpointsandnormal
regeneration.Therearecovariantshields,that
havealotmorehitpoinsbutlowerregeneration,
therearetheresilientshields,thathaveabsorb
andlessbleedthrough,andtherearethe
regenerativeshields,withlesshitpointsbuthigher
regeneration.Italldependsonwhattypeofflying
youdo.
Shieldswithhigherregen(regenerative)aregood
forablatingsteadysustaineddmgbutareverypoor
forspikedamage.Shieldswithlowregenaregood
forstoppingspikedmgbutpooragainstsustained
DPS(theycannotregeneratequicklyenough).
eg.IfyouwerefacingconstantmidlevelDPS,you'd
probablyoptforregenerativeshields.Ifyouwere
facinganescortthatunloadedaheavyspikeof
dmgoneachfrontalpass(cannons/torps),alow
regen/highpowershieldisbetter(covariantfor
example)
Ifyouaretheescortship,youjustwantthehighest
shieldpointsavailable,becauseyoucankillstuff
fast.
Ifyouarethescienceship,Iwouldrecommend
eitherthehighestshieldpointsortheabsorbshield
astheseshipsgivesabonustoyourshieldpointsas
well.Regencanworktoothough.
Ifyouareacruiser,itdependsonwhatyouwantto
do.Theregenoneisgoodforprolongedtanking,
butgivesyouasmalleralphastrikecapability,while
theabsorbshield,willstackwellwithyourtactical
resistconsolesmakingyoutakeevenlessdamage.
Deflectors:Deflectorsmodifyscienceofficer
powers,makingthebuffsanddebuffsbetter.Find
outwhichskillsyoulikethemostandequipafter
whichskillstheydependon.
Engines:currently,thereisnopoweroutputon
these,onlyflightandturnspeeds.SoIbasicallyjust
equipthebestIfind.
Consoles:thereare3typesofconsoles,tactical,
scienceandengineer.
Tactical:putinconsolesthatboostthedpsofthe
weaponyouusethemost.Astorpedostendtodo
themostdamagebythemselves,itsnotreally
neededtouptheirdamageanymore,soIwould
putitintotheweapontypeyouuse.Asdisruptors

inflicting kinetic damage. Shields drastically reduce the effects of

Hyperonic Radiation infects one enemy, causing damage over time
to the target and any enemies near them.
Hypospray Melorazine periodically cleanses the target of any
mental debuffs and increases their energy resistance. Can be used
on yourself or an ally.
Nanite Health Monitor applies nanites to the target which scan the
host and nearby allies to determine if they are seriously injured,
then heal wounded targets when appropriate. There are enough
nanites applied to perform three healing treatments.
Neural Neutralizer placates nearby enemies. Placate prevents
enemies from attacking you, but they can act normally otherwise.
Emitter
Photonic Shock Wave releases a massive blast around your ship,
knocking back enemy ships and inflicting kinetic damage. Shields
drastically reduce the effects of kinetic damage.
Viral Matrix launches a probe that flies to the target then shuts
down its systems, effectively holding it in place. The target is highly
resistant to holds for a short duration after this effect expires.

Officer fires your beam weapons at multiple targets of their
choice.
Overload improves your next beam array attack. Overloading
your beam weapon delivers an extremely powerful blast, but
drains weapon power and briefly takes your beam weapons
offline. Only the energy type you Overload will go offline so if
you Overload your Phasers, all Phasers will go offline and not
your Plasma weapons.
Draw Fire places you in a fake exposed state while increasing
the threat generated by your actions, making enemies more likely
to attack you. Also buffs the damage resistance of nearby allies
for the duration. This ability is fragile, meaning it will cancel early
if you take too much damage.
Focus Fire lowers the damage resistance of the target with each
attack from you or your allies.
Leg Sweep has a high chance of knocking back any nearby foes.
Photon Grenade throws a grenade at the target. The grenade
explodes on contact, dealing area of effect kinetic damage and
knockback. It is possible for the target to move away from the
blast radius while the grenade is in transit. Shields drastically
reduce the effects of kinetic damage.
Security Team deploys security personnel to you or your ally's
starship to track down boarding parties. They attempt to protect
the starship from sabotage, repair sabotage damage and subdue
the boarders.
High Yield torpedo improves your next torpedo attack. Photon,
Quantum, Transphasic, and Chroniton torpedo launchers fire a
salvo of torpedoes. Plasma launchers fire a single, slow-moving
and destructible heavy torpedo that does massive damage.
Spread improves your next torpedo attack. Launches multiple
projectiles in a spread pattern that damage all targets in a large
area around the target.

Ambush grants you a large damage buff for your next attack. The
buff is removed if you receive damage prior to making your next
attack, so it's best used while in stealth mode or not under attack.
