HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ELECTIVE COURSES - MSc

This semester, you will have to choose between 4 and 7 elective courses depending on your track (i.e.
between 8 and 14 credits).
There are 2 different types of courses:
- Extensive courses : courses taught on several weeks, in the afternoon
- Intensive courses: courses taught in concentrated shape during a week, in the morning from Monday
to Friday. The exam is on Friday (10:45 to 13:00).

(Programmes, / Catalogue de cours) or on the Intranet (pdagogie / cours / catalogue).
The registrations will be done through the intranet until Friday January 3rd at noon
Please take note of the following information in order to make your choices:
- You can only choose one intensive course per week.

Regarding the extensive courses, please check through the intranet the electives schedule comparing
with your timetable, on each week (Intranet/ planning/ module).
o The compulsory courses are already inserted in your timetable.
o Some electives are planned on the same time slot.
=> Only one conflict per course will be allowed in your schedule.

Lesson attendance is compulsory for all classes.

CORE COURSES: IMPORTANT FOR ALL STUDENTS


Please find below the list of general core courses (TC) & track core courses (TCF), in which you are
automatically enrolled:

Business Cycles and Corporate Management (TC in Extensive format)


Business Ethics and Social Responsibility (TC in Extensive format)
Strategy and Company Observation (TCF en Extensive format, except for OPS track which is in
Intensive format).
Research Seminar (TCF in Extensive format)
TOEIC (TC) => only for students who came back from foreign countries. To be exempted from this
course, please send us your Toeic Certificate (880 min / validity submitted to agreement of the
department).
LV1 (TC)

You can choose a foreign language (LV2) as an elective (taught on Thursday afternoon). The registration will be
done in another way (thank you to send me an e-mail about it).

THE AUDIT TRACK


There are 2 compulsory electives for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:
-

Applying IFRS
Audit Techniques
You therefor dont have to select them during your registration

You still have to select 5 elective courses (10 elective credits).

THE FINANCE TRACK


There are no compulsory electives for this track in this semester
Except for students who came back from foreign countries:
You are automatically registered to Introduction to Financial Data Services . Its a preparatory course
of 2h30, without credits, but the presence is mandatory.
You have to select 7 elective courses (14 elective credits).

THE IBES TRACK


There are no compulsory electives for this track in this semester.
You have to select 7 elective courses (14 elective credits).

THE SOHRM TRACK (MGT)


There is 1 compulsory elective for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:

Leadership Strategies for the 21st Century


You therefor dont have to select it during your registration

You still have to select 6 elective courses (12 elective credits).

THE MARKETING TRACK


There is 1 compulsory elective for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:
-

Digital Marketing
You therefor dont have to select it during your registration

You still have to select 6 elective courses (12 elective credits).

THE MIS TRACK


There are 2 compulsory electives for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:

Business Analysis
IS Project Management
You therefor dont have to select them during your registration

You still have to select 5 elective courses (10 elective credits).

THE NEGOTIATION TRACK


There are no compulsory electives for this track in this semester.
You have to select 7 elective courses (14 elective credits).
For students who came back from foreign countries:
There is 1 compulsory elective for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:

Business English for Negotiation


You therefor dont have to select it during your registration

You still have to select 6 elective courses (12 elective credits).

THE OPS TRACK


There are 3 compulsory electives for this track in this semester in which you are automatically enrolled.
It concerns:

Business Performance Monitoring using Microsoft Excel


Supply Chain Management
Total Quality Management
You therefor dont have to select them during your registration

You still have to select 4 elective courses (8 elective credits).
