Subscribed to all

Stream on phone b/c can multitask and focus on whats being said (when in
transit)

Word of mouth, iTunes top charts
Would not go out of the way to seek other podcasts
6. Why do you listen to podcast? Do you listen to podcasts for leisure?
Enjoys storytelling aspect of podcast
Primarily for leisure; sometimes listen to podcast for news
7. What benefits do you believe listening to podcast could provide?
Educational while entertaining
However, would rather get news/information via reading than listening b/c a
visual learner

Entertainment, engagement, dynamic content

Very important; not willing to listen to those without these qualities

Do not share b/c none of them listens to podcast; dont think friends are podcast

Based on content; market to the right crowd
Find out interests and tailor podcast to interest
First find the audience and THEN create content to tailor to the audience

Have never seen advertisements for podcast

hosted a live show on campus and it was very effective)

If I Were You: promote more heavily and incorporate more people into shows

Have you done anything differently?
10th grade; only listened to comedy podcast before, but now listen to more
informational/serious podcasts;
16. How likely are you to try radio archive?
Not likely because personally likes new content and current events

Fairly interested

Social life: not at all
Academic life: yes b/c can bring it up in discussion sections
20. What comes to your mind for the following: interactive podcast, interviews, oral history
Interactive podcast: very important; listeners want to feel acknowledged; always
address the audience
Interviews: invite guests people want to know about and who can offer interesting
information
Oral history: personally do not like this
