THE INCASO EXPERIENCE:

Josu, student from Spain, INCASO 2015:

Participating in INCASO has been an
awesome experience for me. When my
teacher told me about it I didn't hesitate
to join, since I'm really interested in
marketing and branding, and now I feel
so happy that I decided to attend. I had
the chance to listen to interesting
speakers on the field, as well as attending
to workshops in which we developed a
brand and a product while interacting
with other students and teachers.
Moreover, we have felt so welcome,
thanks to the hospitality of the whole
team of INCASO, as well as the PAR
students who took part in the project. As
a culmination, we could enjoy one of the best parties during the winter season in Croatia: Rijeka's Carnival, and
what's more: we could do it from the inside, taking part in the parade and sharing an unforgettable moment with all
the team. I deeply recommend every student to take part in future editions of INCASO, you won't regret! And to
finish, I cannot say anything else but thank you all, and see you soon!
Vanna and Petra, PAR students, INCASO 2015 Organization Committee:

Organizing INCASO was a challenge and

brought some fear about how everything will
turn out. In the end, it was truly magical. Even
though it was just for a couple of days, we got
a chance to work and have fun with
international exchange students, we learned a
lot and created a whole new product all
together which is amazing! Hopefully, next
years INCASO participants will have the
chance to see our product on the streets.

RIJEKA AND THE CARNIVAL

The City of Rijeka is situated in the northern part
of the Croatian Adriatic Coast. As a port, it has
always been a transitional point of voyages for
sailors, vagabonds and tourists. In its
surrounding area, the natives have nurtured a
special kind of tradition that is most transparent
during the 5th season the time of the Carnival.
It is to no surprise that The Bellringers have
gained UNESCOs protection as non-material
cultural heritage:
During the January carnival period, bell ringers
march through the villages that dot the Kastav
region in north-west Croatia. Clothed in
sheepskin throws with bells around their waists
and sporting distinctive hats embellished with
sprigs of evergreen, two to more than thirty
ringers swagger in groups behind a guide
carrying a small evergreen tree. They enliven
their gait by bumping each others hips
rhythmically and leaping into the air as they
walk. (cite from: www.unseco.org)
Rijeka and its inhabitants have a Mediterranean
charm which is especially evident during the
summer; long sunny days spent on the city
beaches, the summer festivals and concerts at
the old citadel, the smell of salt, sun cream and
grilled fish in the city streets. However, nothing
compares to the hurricane of festivities, good vibrations and overall happiness that strikes during the Carnival.
