Job Description / Key Functions (list most important first)

1. Should be a good team leader to lead Supplier Development and Incoming Inspection team.
2. Create a positive environment and motivate team members to do their job.
3. Effectively delegate the task and get the job done, wherever team members required support
should be supportive and guide the people to achieve the goal.
4. Coordinating Supplier Development and Incoming Inspection teams.
5. Understanding the problems and communicating to respective departments and team on time.
6. Monitoring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly activities and finishing it on time.
7. Coordinating with other subsidiaries for quality issues and solve it.
8. Attending global conference calls and preparing necessary reports and sharing it.
9. Responsible for Supplier Evaluation, Supplier Qualification and Supplier Performance monitoring
as per KOSTAL Procedures.
10. Benchmarking of KOSTAL global standards and implementing it at supplier end.
11. Benchmarking activities to be completed with existing suppliers and potential new suppliers,
ensuring recommendations are put forward to the Purchasing Manager on desired suppliers for
the future.
12. Develop, implement and review a full supplier quality management system suitable to meet the
needs of the organisation.
13. Must travel to review and monitor supplier base to educate and develop our existing and new
suppliers on our requirements and standards and to provide suppliers with recommendations for
improvement where applicable.
14. Accurate and informative visits reports following each supplier visit to be developed and circulated.
Reports are to include clear recommendations and actions completed. Take on responsibility to
ensure all actions are completed by all suppliers.
15. Manage supplier activities to ensure the quality of components.
16. Drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements.
17. Provide technical guidance to suppliers to assure product/process compliance with engineering
drawings and specifications.
18. Manage supplier qualification and surveillance activities for all commodities/suppliers.
19. To review APQP from supplier for child parts & ensure that supplier adhering to the project
timeline.
20. Coordinate closely with purchase, production engineering, design & tooling department for
ensuring quality part on time.
21. Conducting PPAP audits at supplier and releasing the part, also to identify any non conformances
& opportunities for improvement and to get the corrective action from the supplier.
22. Planning suppliers audits and executing as per plan.
23. Verify compliance to control plans and process controls through site audits of suppliers and forces
corrective actions from audit findings and drives completion of tasks.
24. Analyze supplier process data to assist in solving complex quality problems.
25. Facilitates resolution of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of product
specifications and tolerances.
26. Participates in project team meeting to ensure quality and operational procedures and
requirements are clearly understood and the same to be deployed down the level & at supplier
end.

27. Reviewing weekly & monthly reports and circulating to internal team.
28. Reviewing of layout inspection report & other reports of both supplier & internal and providing
feedback to supplier on time.
29. Review monthly performance of suppliers and initiate for necessary actions.
30. Preparing monthly KPI reports and presenting it to management.
31. Should have knowledge in Injection Moulding, Stamping, Electronics Production & measurements
to understand & solve quality issues and to guide team members.

Key Skills / Qualification Profile

Education:

Diploma /B.E (Mechatronics)

Work Experience:

6-8 yrs. (Diploma) / 4-6 yrs. (B.E)

Required Skills:

Ability to understand & interpret engineering drawing, Supplier

evaluation, Supplier audits, Quality Tools, 8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA,
Control Plans, MSA, Capability study, Process knowledge in
Stamping, Injection Moulding, and Electronics knowledge on ISO
TS 16949, Excellent oral and written communication skills,
Computer Knowledge, MS Office, problem solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

VDA 6.3 Process Audit, SAP Quality Module, Quality Management

System, Project Management
