Dear Admissions Tutor(s),

I would like to apply for entrance into the _________ sixth form for the next two
academic years in order for me to retake my AS Levels and complete my A2 as I
am very impressed with the excellent quality of teaching, facilities and extracurricular activities offered by the school.
I think of myself to be a very driven, hardworking and dependable individual. I
have a very good academic record, shown by the grades that I achieved in my
GCSEs. I have attained A*s in my GCSE Mathematics modules that I completed
in year 10 which were preceded and followed by numerous As and Bs in subjects
such as Core and Additional Science, French and ICT.
Apart from schoolwork and studying, I usually take part in different extracurricular activities. For the past two years I have been tutoring children of the
ages 4-13 in subjects like English and Science but primarily Maths. In that same
period I have also been part of the Battersea Cultural Centre Football Team. Also
I regularly attend university lectures at universities such as UCL, Kings and LSE.
One specific lecture that I did enjoy was The Physics of Polar Bears at Royal
Holloway. I have completed around two weeks worth of work experience at
Nurmen Consulting where I was working as an assistant which included me
putting data into multiple spreadsheets.
I have chosen to study Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Business
Studies as I thoroughly enjoyed the GCSE version of these subjects. In the near
future I am looking to study Econometrics at LSE and I believe that these
subjects will put me in a good position to apply for this degree. In order to
complement these choices in subjects I am looking at applying for a work
placement at firms such as KPMG, Deloitte and PwC and I believe that my work
experience placement at a consultancy firm has already put me in a good
position to compete with the people applying to study at LSE.
I have studied all these subjects except for Physics at AS level and Im looking to
retake them as I got a CDU in Math, Business and Further Maths respectively. I
am applying knowing that these subjects will be easier second time round. The
main reason why I failed these subjects is that I did not start my revision early
enough and that now with the experience gained from last year, I now know
when everything has to be done by and I know that I will not be making the
same mistake again. I know that I will achieve grades that I can apply to LSE
with and Im hoping that the Hammersmith Academy sixth form would be able to
help me with that.
