protected to moisture and water, it should be elevated or at least the community
provide appropriate measure such as a shed to protect it from rain.

Due to weather conditions, especially the proximity of the area to the
manila bay high tide prevented our transportation to the island. The good thing is
the curing of the foundations are conducted on the nearer area.
Due to the high tide, the cured footings are get wet by the sea water, which
could affect the composition and strength of it. Engr. Harold instructed them to
remove the foundations, and there will be another mixture of concrete to be
poured on the footing so that it will strengthen its strength. And

Continue the working drawings of the multi purpose
These are the monitoring and construction updates of the field activity:
- Due to weather conditions, the TAO and YP TEAM cannot accessible the
sitio pulo proper
- The curing of the foundations failed because the amount of water used in
the mixture is too much for the concrete to achieve its normal strengths.
Signs of too much water is seen on the foundation
- More cans should be bought for the continuation of the bridge, 120
foundations are cured which achieve the equivalent number of
foundations, with targeted length of 150 meters but the cured footings
should be reinforced by another concrete mixture
- Mr Bong Villanueva was instructed by the engineer consulant and archt
Verona to water the foundations to prevent it from cracking. He was also
informed about the process of putting dams in laying the cured
foundations on the wet lands. Target period to finish the bridge is on last
week of may
- the continuation of the precast column should be on right time and low
tide condition so that it is easier to lay over the precast columns
- The layout of the multipurpose center is already approved by the client,
he wants to add additional cubicle toilet inside the center and orientation
of doors should be inside
- The client also sponsor counterparts the Norwegian foundation in the
continuation of the bamboo bridge, the drawings are given to him
- Effect of sea water to bamboo and concrete

- Dam with the use drums
- Sewage in wetlands in natural way

- Drawings of the bamboo bridge
- and working drawings of the multi purpose center

The SAPSPA is an association which is a common client of TAO Pilipinas
5 residences are sponsored by tao pilipinas and given each a budget of 100,000
pesos in each benefactor families in the program of disaster resiliency of the TAO
PILIPINAS.
Revisions arises are made by the master carpenter, they were informed
that they should follow the as-built plan but in the way of construction, revisions
are made.
Set backs are not followed by the clients because they want to expand and
add additional space on the house.
Reports of corruption particularly in building permit are reported by the
client

12:00 5:00 Monitoring of the construction of the ROMANO Residence,
and discussion about the concentration of the budget given by TAO Pilipinas to
them,. Together with meeting with the master carpenter about the construction of
the house
These are the monitoring and construction updates of the field activity:
- The budget 100,000 pesos are concentrated in the ground floor of the
building, the client will find additional counterparts and sponsor to the
continuation of the rest of the house.
- The budget for the grade filling or backfilling of the house will be on the
client, also with the second floor of the house
- The master carpenter did structural revision of the orientation of the
beam due to retrofication of the existing beams of the house. Instead of a
horizontal beam in center it was oriented paralleled to the front of the house and
ideal for the span of the columns
- The orientation of the stairs also changed because the client want to have
bigger space for the living room, also the T&B was pushed to the perimeter of the
setback. The setbacks on the rear are used by the clients.. with this revisions the
orientation of spaces in the second floor also change together with the orientation
of windows and doors

- Retrofication of existing structural members of the house
- Corruption on the manila city hall regarding building permit
- relation with master carpenter and client
