Seth Jai Parkash Mukand Lal Institute of Engineering & Technology


(JMIT) is located in rural, pollution free and green habitat of Radaur at a
distance of 18 km from Yamuna Nagar and 28 km from Pipli,
Kurukshetra. The Institute was established in the year 1995 by The Ved
Parkash Mukand Lal Educational Society (Regd. in the year 1987).
Sh. Ashok Kumar, the Chairman of the Society and the Governing Body, a
leading industrialist and philanthropist of Northern India manages 27
Institutions of Knowledge & Service spread over the states of Haryana
and Uttar Pradesh. A Board of Governors consisting of persons of
eminence from the industry and academia oversee the functioning of
the Institute. The Institute has been approved by All India Council for
Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Kurukshetra University,
Kurukshetra. The Institute runs professional academic programmes of
B.Tech., M.Tech, MCA & MBA and there are over 3000 students studying
on the campus.

Training For Employment


The vision and mission of Seth Jai Parkash Mukand Lal institutions is to
provide best infrastructure facilities, academics and additional inputs in
personality development, language and software proficiency. In line
with the vision a special feature of the Institute is the 'Beyond
Academics Training' to all students. Two state-of-the-art Language Labs,
special modules of Personality Development and Training for
Employability are the potential strengths of the Institute. Provisions
have been made in the Time Table for all classes of all streams to learn
Spoken English in a most meticulous manner in the Language Labs and
involve themselves in creative, thought-provoking and interactive ideas
and exercises in Personality Development Classes that develop
confidence and outlook of students.
More importantly, the Institute is going to provide a special 'Education
to Employment' Training to aspiring, selected students through a
scholarly, research-oriented Company 'LEAP'. This training will be the
first of its kind that will not only enhance job opportunities for the
students but also transform their inherent personality, aptitude and
attitude to make them worthy of competing with the best in the country.

candidate in any of the four valid MAT conducted by
AIMA in September, 2014, December, 2014, February,
2015 and May, 2015. The unique rank shall be assigned
on the basis of highest composite score obtained by a
candidate and the counselling shall be done on the
unique rank assigned to the candidate.

Key Highlights

JMIT campus is always lively with number of activities lined up for the students who not
only participate in them but also organize them under the supervision of faculty
members. Such an indulgence on part of the students has helped them in developing
their interpersonal skills.

Field visits are frequently arranged to various industries and scientific
labs so as to give exposure to the students to modern technology and
develop understanding of scope in research and its implementation.

LIBRARY
JMIT has a n i n f ra st ructure w hich

The Institute developed in its modest
existence of twenty years into an excellent
resource base in the form of a Modern
Computerized Library with more than
51176 books, 3325 CDs/Video Lectures,
111 National Print Journals/Magazines;
IEEE, J-Gate (JET), J-Gate (Mgt.), Science
Direct, DELNET Pro-Quest, McGrawHill,
ASTM Digital Library, Springer (EEC) and
Springer (ME) E-Journal packages. Book
Bank facilities for all. It is member of
DELNET for availing of ILL (Inter Library
Loan) and DDS (Document Delivery
Services). Library remains open from
09.25 am to 08.00 pm on all working days
and upto 02.00 and during examination
days.
MODERN TEACHING METHODS
The Institute has understood the need of

available in every department. The
Language Labs & PDP section grooms the

HOUSING
The Institute provides separate hostel
facility to both boys and girls in its three
Boy's hostels (742 seats) and two Girl's
hostels (493 seats). The hostel rooms are
fully equipped with adequate furniture &
fixtures and provides safe and secure
living environment to the resident
student. AC facility is also available in
hostel. The facilities for Common Room,
Indoor Games, Guest Room, Telephone
etc. are also available. All hostels have WiFi enabled internet access facility. Each
hostel is managed by a full time warden
working under the guidance of the
Teacher Warden and the Chief Warden.

within the campus for the students.

The Institute is running Skill Enhancing

HEALTH SERVICES & INSURANCE
The institute has a dispensary headed by a
male and a female doctor for first aid and
emerg e ncy c are. Additionally, t he
students are treated at Swaraj Devi Jai
Parkash Hospital run by the same society
at Radaur which is managed by two
experienced doctors. Provision of an
Ambulance is available on the campus.
SECURITY AND SAFETY
For the security purpose, CCTV cameras
and fire alarm system are set up at
different locations in the Institute (Entry in
the campus is not allowed without an Icard or a gate pass). Fire extinguishers are
also installed.

UNIVERSITY RESULTS
The university results of the institute are appreciable
and the Institute has the distinction of producing
university toppers. Till date the Institute has produced
20 gold medallists.
CROWNING GLORY
Our students Jalaj Sharma (Batch 2005-09) joined
Indian Administrative Services in 2014.
SPORTS
The Institute has one of the highest participation in
Inter College Tournament among all the Technical /
Engineering Colleges affiliated to K.U., Kurukshetra. In
2014-15 our students bagged university position in 10
different playoffs.

in February, 2015.
Our students won positions in events - HTML Web
Designing, Software Development, Animated PPT
at GNKITM, Yamuna Nagar in February 2015. Our
boys were given Overall Best Performer award.
Our students won the District level Science Essay
Writing Competition and Participated at the

PROJECT UNDRETAKINGS Students are working on Kurukshetra Darshan


live project of National Informatics Centre (NIC)
Kurukshetra
Research project entitled 'Development of Short
Fiber Reinforced Hybrid Composites and Study of
their Erosion Characteristics' has been considered
and recommended for grant from DST (Govt. of
India).
A team of Final and Pre Final year students got
selected for live presentation on improved version
of domestic solar plants in Mahindra Rise Solar
Innovative Challenge.
