A Study on Dairy products distribution and Marketing

Research Gap
In previous researches all are directly done their researches on dairy Industry and cooperative
society. But those researchers are not having the data about the local milk distributers
distribution channels and their marketing strategies. So in my project I am going to do the
research on local milk distributers distribution channels and their marketing strategies and also
dairy Industry and cooperative society. So this is the research gap which I am going to focus.
Objectives of the study
The main objectives of the project are:The study consists of two folded objectives i.e. main objectives and additional objectives. The
main objective is to acquire practical knowledge about Dairy Distribution and Marketing. The
additional objectives are follows:

To study the general information about dairy industry in Tamilnadu.

To focus on SWOT technique application to create new Dairy Business.

To identify the elaborate details about the dairy products distribution and marketing.

To identify the problem in Distribution, Marketing and Sales.

Research Design
Research design is descriptive as well as analytical.
Data Collection
Primary data is a type of information that is obtained directly from first-hand sources by means
of surveys, observation or experimentation. It is data that has not been previously published and
is derived from a new or original research study and collected at the source such as in marketing.
Primary data was collected with the help of structured questionnaire. Secondary data was
collected from magazines, newspaper, company literature and Websites.

Sample Size
The sample size selected for the study is 100 respondents.
Sampling Technique
The sample for the study is selected using convenient sampling technique.
Tools Used For Data Analysis
The data collected from the respondents are going to process and analyze through two way
ANOVA in SPSS.
Expected Outcome
Through my research I am going to get the different types of dairy products distribution channel
and their marketing strategy in and around Thanjavur and Trichy district.
How this research contribute to management and society
Contribution for Management
Through this research we will get the different distribution channel and marketing strategy by
doing the comparative study among them we can find the best distribution and marketing
strategy which can be adapt to the dairy business and it can help to reduce the operation cost and
also to increase the profit.
Contribution for Society
Through this research the public can get the milk products in high quality and in cheap price.
