First recording of the music

video. Recording
performance scene of
artist rapping. Partial
shooting of the narrative.
Props: Mask, Canon
Camera,

The white masks we ordered to fit within

the theme had eye-holes too small,
covering the faces of our actors. We then
came up with the idea to use the
superhero prop and theme subliminally
within the music video.
No other major issue.
Quite cold and windy, had to ensure that
our hands were firm enough to capture
stable footage.
No problems today.

Overall first shooting was successful,

was able to shoot outside at the top
floor of the car pack as well as grab
some footage from inside, where we
shot most of the narrative scenes. No
problem with the inside shooting, just
had to be cautious if shoppers were
coming through the car park space.

Third recording of the

music video. Aim to
capture the majority of the
narrative scenes.

Canon Camera, iPhone,
Home Speakers

Besides my media partner and I, only

one person showed up to record the
narrative scene and ultimately we had
to record more performance rather than
the storyline of the music video.
The canon camera was not fully charged
properly and there was no time to wait
for additional hours for the camera to
charge so had to capture most of the
footage on an iPhone 5.

Was able to capture footage for the

second half of the song. Found a gritty
area in the middle of Brick Lane with a
cool graffiti background (able to capture
the grittiness and urban feel of East
London). There was only a few people
around at the junk yard opposite us, our
shooting did not interfere with any of
the local residents.
Overall was able to capture short
footage of the performance using the
prop of a disco light, the Canon camera
with a low battery and the iPhone 5.
From our interim feedback with our
teacher we figured that the lighting of
our shot was way too vignette and we
now aim to reshoot the scene with
better lighting as well as with a variety
of shots.
