Walkthrough for

The Shivah

The game starts off in the synagogue with the cantor singing, then the rabbi giv
ing up on his congregants. He then walks inside his office, when the cantor ment
ions that a cop came to investigate. After talking with the cop, go on the compu
ter with rstone/yenta and search for jack lauder. One of the results reveals his r
esidence. Once you open that email, log off and leave the synagogue. The Lauder
residence then appears on the map.
Go to the house, where Mrs. Lauder starts acting coldly to the Rabbi. YOU NEED T
O SAY that you re making amends. Otherwise, she will call the cops on you, since she s
so angry she would easily pin the blame on the hateful rabbi and the game ends th
ere. Ask her about the business, and she will tell you everything, including the
business name and its roots. Then, leave the house and go to the store. On the
computer, type in the password sharma. Then check all the emails and ledgers. Then
, log off and in clues, drag JDM to Joe DeMarco.
Go back to the Lauder residence. Ask Mrs. Lauder for information about ethan g,
ethan Goldberg, joe demarco, etc. any clue you have so far. After that, go back
to your synagogue, log back in as rabbi stone, and enter 2 searches. One on Ethan
Goldberg and one on Beth Tikvah. Ethan Goldberg will reveal 2 emails. One of them re
veals where he was shot and therefore the place will then appear on your map. Be
th Tikvah gives you the address to Beth Tikvah, where Rabbi Zelig is the Rabbi,
and that will reveal the synagogue on the map. DO NOT first go to the pub, as to
o many make that mistake at first. Go to the synagogue. Speak with the rabbi, an
d afterwards he will give you his card (if he doesn t, keep saying anything until
he finally does). Then, when you go to the pub, when you walk in another person
walks in with you. You ask him stuff based on your clues and see what he says. O
f course, ask if he s Joe Demarco, if he s Jewish, and ask him stuff until he takes
you outside to the train station to discuss things more. After you fight, you have
the option to either throw him onto the tracks or spare his life. I only about
when you spare his life. You simply knock him out. Anyways, go back to you re syna
gogue and computer, log in and search for Zelig. There s a result that reveals the n
ame of his dog. Log off your email and log in as rabbiz (from the business card
he gave you), and enter the dog s name (Dodger). Check all his emails. Then, go ba
ck to the Lauder residence, where you ll find the place a mess, and a note is pinn
ed onto the rug covering the mirror. Read the note, and you ll see where Mrs. Laud
er is taken hostage. Go there. Rabbi Zelig is waiting with a gun, and Mrs. Laude
r is bound and gagged. You re then told that you will jump. Here, there are many d
ifferent ways to end this game.
If you refuse to jump, Rabbi Zelig will shoot Mrs. Lauder, and Mrs. Lauder will
not be with you when you end the game. Joe Demarco, if he s still alive, will not
come in to yell at Rabbi Zelig.
If you still refuse, he will then shoot you.
If you attempt to grab his gun, she will shoot and miss. The second time he will
shoot you and hit you, the third time he will shoot kill you, ending the game.
If you just agree to jump WITHOUT saving Joe DeMarco s life, I don t know. Try that
out.
If you agree to jump and Joe Demarco s life was spared, he will come, scream at Ra
bbi Zelig, and be shot by him after you open the window pane.
Now comes the tricky part: the roof. First, stall him so Rabbi Zelig walks towar
ds you an inch. Then, grab his gun twice, to which you will be shot on both arms.
That way you will be near the rabbi. Then, go onto the ledge, and admire the view

, so that the Rabbi Zelig can be distracted. Then grab his gun and get back onto th
e ledge. If you jump, or if you try to grab his gun in any other way, you will d
ie and the game ends. Next comes with the fist fighting. Ask Rabbi Zelig questio
ns. If he answers with a question, do not punch, or else he will block and then
punch you back. Only punch him after he answers with an answer. If you get knock
ed out too much (either 1. because you punched him after he answered with a ques
tion and he punched you back, or, 2. you asked him too many questions that has qu
estion answers, prompting him to punch you). After you have him cornered, you hav
e the option of saving his life or throwing him off the ledge. There are differe
nt endings to this.
If you saved Mrs. Lauder s life and saved Rabbi Zelig s life (knocking him out), she
will go with you to the police station and have Rabbi Zelig arrested. She then
joins your congregation.
If you saved Mrs. Lauder s life and threw Rabbi Zelig off the roof, Mrs. Lauder wi
ll be horrified, and while thanking you, will not want to have anything to do wi
th you anymore.
If Mrs. Lauder was shot and Rabbi Zelig was thrown off the roof Rabbi Zelig will
be charged with killing everyone and his own death will be ruled a suicide.
If Mrs. Lauder was shot and Rabbi Zelig s life was saved, Rabbi Zelig will awake a
nd have you arrested, throwing you in jail.
If you kill Joe Demarco, Rabbi Zelig will kill Mrs. Lauder regardless. So you wi
ll have to kill Rabbi Zelig or else have him report you to the cops.
