Organizational Jigsaw

HR Module
A competency mapping model of an organization with a framework that lists the
competencies required for effective performance in a specific job, task
organization, function, or process.

There are 2 stages

Stage 1: The Bidding Process

Each participant will be allotted an amount of $5 million.

There are 60 virtual profiles of employees, each having a set of

competencies and minimum bid value.

All the 60 profiles would be divided in the below mentioned format

Each of the four domains would be further divided into four job profile

VP

Each participant has to have a minimum of 8 profiles and can have a

maximum of 12 profiles

Bidding for each profile will start at the minimum bid value. Participants
are expected to bid only after raising their Bid Bars.

Initially each participant will be given 30 minutes to have a quick glance at

all the profiles. Please make a mental note on which profiles you are
interested and spend judiciously.

During the bidding process, each profile will be displayed one after
another for a maximum of 60 seconds, during which bidding for the profile
takes place.

Once the 60 seconds are up, the profile goes to the participant having the
highest bid at that point of time.

In case no participant bids in the first 10 seconds, the profile goes back to
the pool and henceforth will not be available for bidding.

Please note that by the end of first bidding round, each participant must
have at least 8 profiles.

In case two participant bid for the same profile at the same time and
same price, the profile will go to the person who previous to this bid had
the highest bid.

Once a participant has acquired 12 profiles, he will not be allowed to bid

further.

Participants should aim to obtain maximum number of competent profiles

utilizing minimum amount of money such that they do not exhaust the
total amount allotted to them.

With the same amount, the salary of each profile will also be paid for the
specified time duration, the candidate will work for.

Stage 2: Situation Handling

The remaining budget for each participant will be calculated.

24 Case-lets will be presented one after another having a certain situation

which needs to be dealt with.

Each profile can be used to solve a maximum of three cases.

You have to provide a profile for all the cases.

Each case will be prior mapped to profiles which can best solve the case.
Multiple profiles can fetch the same points and it depends on the mapping
done by the organizing team.

Each case will be displayed for a maximum of 60 seconds. The participant

will have to solve the case-let by assigning one of his virtual profiles in a
shared Google document within the 90 seconds.

Therefore, use your virtual profiles judiciously to solve case-lets so as to

maximize your score.

Each case has a predetermined set of profiles mapped to it which can

solve the case. This mapping into levels is independent of the minimum
bid amounts of the profiles. Therefore, even if a profile has high minimum
bid amount, he need not necessarily be mapped to it.

If the profile chosen by the participant does not feature in the

predetermined list of profiles mapped to that particular case-let, the profile
shall not be awarded any amount.

Participants will be allotted Money based on the rankings of profiles who

will handle the situations the best which has been predetermined.

Result for each level Money will be awarded

decision would be final.
