Things I Know About Love is a general fiction writen by Kate Lee Vann which
translated into Indonesian language by Adee Rena. This novel told about the journey life of
Livia Stowe to search meaning of love. Livia Stowe struggled and kept trying convince the
people she met that she was doing well after suffered from leukimia. Livia Stowe loved
writing and she wrote all events in she life in shes personal blog. In this novel we learned to
strong and kept struggled althought in bad condition.
Kate Lee Vann wrote character Livia Stowe was teen 18 years old which always
strong and cheerful when passed she life. Kate Lee Vann packed figure Livia Stowe with
very interesting and detail. This novel was told when summer holiday in Princeton, Noo
Jeisey, America, place son of Livia, Jeff studied master American study. Writer of this novel
described situation and condition very well, so the reader can with easily imagine the
condition and situation. The writer used language with easily understandable made the reader
not felt bored when read this novel. The writer too told all figure in this story with balancing,
so not centralized on Livia Stowe life. Unfortunately, the writer used dual plot in this novel
so that when the reader not understandable very well and detail when read this novel,
difficultly to know story line in this novel. Moreover, there are bad sentence to read because
describe good less scene. So, the reader must read this novel with carefully to found and
understandable moral value in novel Things I Know About Love.
Started when Leukimia disease suffered by Livia Stowe during one year was over
make she want enjoyed summer holiday after days before she lie down in ward hospital. She
decided visited her son, Jeff in America. Although, with much effort she convince her mom
that shes not Livia Stowe suffered Leukimia. In America she met new people in her life, that
not know with past of Livia Stowe ever suffered leukimia. And in here she begin know and
found back what she know about life, relationship between two people. Livia falling in loved
with Adam, friend of Livias son since in England, Livia fell Adam different with other boy
that make Livia cry and fulled shes personal blog in days before. Moreover, Livia be scared

because she fell very happy, future available in front she eyes, and shes not believe she can
pass with Adam. Livia not want Adam know that her body is weak again, she faked to seen
very well but finally she fainted when Adam invited walking in New York. Adam bring Livia
to Hospital, and he give last shoes to Livia because she breathed her last breath in she sleep
that night.
This novel have described situation, condition, and choose language that suitable,
moreover the writer described all figure in this novel with balancing. But, dual plot in this
novel can made the reader difficultly to understandable storyline in this novel. Kate Le Vann
should make one plot in this novel,so the reader not confused to understand storyline in this
novel. Basicly, this novel deserved to read because give nice moral value that is to say Keep
strong and always struggled in this life
