I SERVE A GOD OF MIRACLES!!

Psalm 77:14 - You are the God who does wonders;
You have declared Your strength among the peoples.
I serve to remind you that I serve a God of miracles.
Believers today have been consumed with popularity
status, even celebrity style status in the church which
has created followers that seek not the God of
miracles, but an emotion and a feeling that feeds
their flesh!
The Church is full in many cases of believers who
come to honor a man, but it is not the man Jesus
Christ!
We have enjoyed the music, and the worship teams
who pump out their feel good songs, but still we see
no evidence of the God of miracles!
We have replaced the God of miracles with side
shows, because its the only thing we have to fill the
time!
We give God no time to move in our meetings, as it
steals the limelight we so desperately seek! We have
created in many cases a disco like atmosphere to
attract young people, yet they never see the God of
miracles in action!
Financial prosperity messages have reached an all
time high, as people cling to theses false prophets
words more than they cling to the words of a miracle
working God.
The Church has to realise that we are not just a
gathering of believers that are like-minded, but we
are desperate to see the manifestation of Gods
power in our lives and the lives of all we touch!
Preachers fill up all the time of a service with their
voice, while the miracle workers voice is silent.
Miracles is the trade mark of God! No one else can
use it nor can they lay claim to it!
Miracles are Gods way of showing us our limitations!
There are things that you need like healings of sick
bodies, financial breakthroughs, creative ideas for
businesses, and many more that cannot be realised
by your own efforts or intellect!

It is too our shame that we think we would be

embarrassed if we bring someone to the Church that
needs a miracle and nothing happens! Your faith
then has never been in the God of miracles but in a
man or church!
The bible provides us with so many accounts of a
God of miracles at work!
Sarahs miraculous conception at old age!
Josephs miraculous protection and promotion!
The children of Israels miraculous provision in a
desert for 40 years!
The crossing of the Red Sea! As well as the river
Jordan on dry land!
The killing of the giant Goliath!
The Bible is full of miracles and yet all the modern
church can take out of it is the fact that He wants to
bless you with money and material things. We have
insulted God in our unbelief by settling for less than
what He desires to do!
The early Church on the day of Pentecost was birthed
in a demonstration of Gods power. That power was
seen in that those who first received had a boldness
to prophesy and to declare the message of the
kingdom. They were able to speak in a language that
foreigners could understand the message of the
gospel.
The early church believers and apostles never had
Church to gain material possessions. The prosperity
gospel that they preached was the prosperity of soul
ensuring that many come to know Jesus Christ as
Lord and Saviour.
Acts 10:38 - how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth
with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about
doing good and healing all who were oppressed by
the devil, for God was with Him
Acts 19:11 - Now God worked unusual miracles by
the hands of Paul, 12 so that even handkerchiefs or
aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and
the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of
them. 13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists
took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord
Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying,
We[a]exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.

The modern Church has turned to technology to hype up the meeting place, while the
real power that comes from God is sidelined! Technology has replaced the power of
God!
We now stand amazed at brilliant performers, hip-hop dancers, mime acts, and drama
that tells about the God we serve but fail to show us the God of miracles.
Let us have technology and all these different Christian performers imparting a great
message, BUT never lose sight that all these must be done so that we create the
atmosphere for people to be restored, made whole, delivered from sickness and
disease, and from every affliction of the enemy!
You cannot produce a miracle but you can walk in faith! You cannot buy a miracle
through your offerings but you can give in faith and see a miracle God at work!
You cannot raise the dead or heal the sick, but you can in faith lay hands on them and
know that God will do what His word says!
The God of miracles that i serve is not limited by your thinking neither is he moved by
how big a miracle is needed!
The believers dont look for a sign! They must expect signs to follow them!
Mark 16:17 - And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast
out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they
drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they
shall recover.
The Church has long battled with the fact that there is a lack of evidence in our
preaching and now the Church attempts to build on charisma, and by enticing people
through entertainment!
You may argue that the culture of our day has changed, BUT, God hasnt changed! He is
still the same yesterday, today, and forever the same!
What He did then He can still do now regardless of the seasons and times we live in!
We dont wait for miracles to come to us......we walk in faith declaring His name and
doing the Fathers will, and miracles happen!
You cannot plan a miracle! Neither can you program a miracle into your service or
conference! You cannot dictate how and when a miracle must happen! Preachers plan
miracle services but never invite the miracle worker! We prophesy miracles only to find
that God is not swayed by mans words! The miracles He performs is at His set time and
will always bless the one receiving the miracle as well as all who see it or hear about it!
The God that formed man in His own image and placed him in the earth to subdue can
do a miracle for you!

The God that set in motion plagues against Egypt who held the children of Israel captive
can provide you with a miracle that will free you from the clutches of the enemy!
The same God that opened the Red Sea that caused Israel to walk across on dry land to
their promised land is the same God that can make a way for you where there is no
way!
The same God that healed the leprosy of Naaman as he dipped seven times in the
Jordan river, is the same God that heals you!
The same God that can use a nobody like Gideon, David, Deborah, Rahab, Esther, Job,
Peter, Timothy, Mary..is the same God who can miraculously raise you up to be an
able minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
Your miracle is closer than you think!
More importantly, I need to tell you that besides the need of a miracle in your life, that
YOU are the miracle that God has raised up to do His will and to be a minister of
reconciliation!

There are so many things one can say about the God of miracles, suffice to say, DO NOT
DOUBT, ONLY BELIEVE!
