Please visit Boiler Tube (Bottom Slope) Part 3 for previous explanation.
X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis passage deposit in a tubular although the internal parts pipe
invisible from excessive deposit, but XRD analysis needs to be done to convince absence of the
internal factor of pipes caused the damage pipe. Passage in a tubular scraped off until obtained a
number of enough to do the XRD analysis (Picture 1.11) . The results can be seen from Figure 1.12
and Table 1.6

From the results of XRD analysis in the area around defects can be inferred that the deposit begins
to form Calcium Oxide and Aluminum at Carbonate areas around the basin in the pipe undergoing
plastic deformation. Deposits that are formed are still very thin.

Thermal and Mechanical Analysis.

Analysis of mechanical and Thermal damage to the pipe 1 based on visual inspection is the defects
in the form of basins toward the inside of the pipe as shown in Figure 1.6 and 1.7.
This in theory there are defects when plastic deformation occurs. This kind of deformation occurs
when the strength of the Von Mises strength has reached melt material.
The occurrence of a large strength in this case predicted to occur due to foreign bodies falling in a
certain height in the furnace with the speed of the collision are relatively large.
The strength which occurs due to the collision of these foreign objects may be aggravated by the
influence of the thermal load is, the temperature difference between inner and outer pipe causing a
thermal gradient is relatively large. Extremely high temperatures generated by flue gas pipe
outside hours of operation as well as a long pipe (about 87.600 hours) may cause a decrease in the
quality of the material itself.
In other words, that at a time when foreign bodies that fell upon the pipe, the pipe is not in the best
State performance to withstand plastic deformation happens. Hypothesis-this hypothesis is proved
by simulation support
