Project Title: Development of Auto Body Paint Shop system
Abstract:
Problems
Many auto body paint shops are operated manually by a group of people. In
such situations, many people involved in the operation have to keep records
regarding the cars, customer and the usage of the auto body paint booth
they utilize. The inventory of the auto body paint shop has to be monitored
as well. All these things have to be carried out manually, if the intake of cars
increase, recording may be lengthy and mistakes may occur.

Functions of the proposed system

The aim of this proposal is to propose system with a database to record
customer information and the parts of the car that is sent in to be repainted
and the costs involved. The system can be used to look at the current
inventory of the shop. The system also can be used to schedule the usage of
auto body painting booths and generate an invoice based on the data
entered.

The proposed system aims to be able to

Track progress of the work done on a car

Keep information about the customer
Record the parts of a car to be repainted and the price given
Track inventory
Produce invoices
Scheduling for the paint booth usage
