Remove the ADSL line cord (RJ11) coming from Splitter to Modem. LINK indicator (Steady Green) will go OFF. 2) Configure the TCPIIP setting of the LAN Card / Huawei Smartax 841 / Wireless LAN (as the case may be) of your PC as below or for non Windows OS follow the instruction of the OS to configure the IP address of your PC to the same Subnet as that of SmartAX MT 841 Modem. Keep SSID = MT841, Channel = 6, Module = High Rate, Intra BSS = Enabled & SSID Hidden = Disabled. Please note the WPA-PSK code which you have put (Remember itis case sesative). Click on "Apply" 7) Click on "Apply" > "Save All" > "OK". Modem will eboot.. Wireless connectivity will be lost when Modem Reboots. WIRELESS PC CONFIGURATION AFTER PUTTING THE WPA-PSK KEY IN MODEM 8) Your Wireless PC may ask WPA-PSK Key for Wireless connectivily, Put the Key ance and for ever, otherwise ... (Step 9) 9) Go to "Start" > "Settings" < Control Panel" > Open "Network Connections" > Right Click on "Wireless Network Connections" > “Properties” > "Wireless Networks" > "Properties" (In Proferred Networks) > "Association" > "Network Authentication’ = "WPA-PSK" “Data Encryption" = "AES". Type your WPA-PSK code in "Network Key". Retype at "Confirm Network Key”. Click "OK ‘Again click "OK". Wireless Connectivity wil re-establish in secured manner. MULTIUSER CONFIGURATION OF MODEM - COMMON FOR LAN/ USB / WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY [10) Open Intemel Explorer and type hitp://192,168.1,1> Press Enter. Type User Name = "admin", Password = "admin"> "Login 11) Click on "Connections" under Basic. Click on Note icon against PVCO. Click on "Delete" > "OK'. Click on "New", One new PVC named as PVC-6 will be created. Select WAN Type = PPPoE, VPI/VCI = 0 / 35, Keep Encapsulation = "LLC", Default Route = "Enabled. Type your| DataOne Broadband User Name & Password. Keep Use DNS = "Enabled, Click on "Apply", One check mark [] at Default Route against PVC-6 will appear. Click on "Save All" > "OK" Modem will reboot. Connect the ADSL line to Modem now & wait till LINK indicator glows with| steady "Orange" colour. Close Internet Explorer. 112) Forusing the connection in more than one Computer, you can connect other 3 PCs to the Modem via Ethemet port of Modem. For more than 4 PCs use an Ethemet Switch between Modem and the PCs. Give their IP as 192.168.1.11 ... 12 ... 13 so on. Gateway & DNS are same as| above. For Wireless connectivity, no Ethernet Switch is required.
