Moonlight Amphitheatre.
F or 30 years, the Moonlight Amphitheatre has been uniting
the worlds of theatre and natural beauty for unforgettable
summer experiences. From the moment you enter our grand
gates, you’re in for something special. Green lawns await,
where you can enjoy a picnic in the company of family and
friends. As the sun sets, the overture begins and the curtain
rises on a spectacular Broadway musical.

This is the magic of the Moonlight!

Join us for an unmatched journey
that’s entertaining and magical!

The 2010 Summer Season is special

for many reasons. First, it is our 30th Anniversary
and we want you to be part of the celebration. Second, the
re-opening of our new Amphitheatre last summer with a new state-
of-the-art stage house has meant new-found theatrical excellence. The
first production last summer in the new theatre, 42nd Street, took top
awards from San Diego theatre critics. We salute our Mayor and Vista
City Council for their vision in developing the Moonlight Amphitheatre
and its programs over these 30 years.
This summer, you can visit far away lands and exotic locations with-
out leaving North County! Journey with us to the wide-open prairies
of Oklahoma! Then, dash off to New York City and Nevada of the 1930’s
with the tap-dancing spectacular Crazy for You. Finish your journey
with the pop opera phenomenon,
Miss Saigon, filled with Asian
pageantry and a powerful story.
Summer means travel and escape.
At the Moonlight Amphitheatre,
you can do both without having to
journey far. Bring along a picnic
and discover that your summertime
theatre destination is right here in
beautiful Brengle Terrace Park.

See YOU at the Moonlight!

Who
could ask for
anything more in a
musical extravaganza that
captured the Tony Award for
Best Musical in 1992? Crazy for You is
reminiscent of the great 30s musicals and
features the music and lyrics of George and Ira
Gershwin. Delight in the adventures of a stage-
struck playboy in a Nevada mining town where
romance, mistaken identities, and show stopping musical
numbers fill this comic roof-raiser. Beautiful Follies girls and
tap-dancing guys help to create show business magic in a show
that features some of the most unforgettable Gershwin songs
including Someone to Watch Over Me, Embraceable You, I’ve Got
Rhythm, Can’t be Bothered Now, Shall We Dance and many more.

Music by Claude-Michel Schonberg
Lyrics by Richard Maltby Jr. and Alain Boubil
Director: Steven Glaudini
Choreographer: Carlos Mendoza
Musical Director: Charlie Reuter
Conductor: Kenneth Gammie
From the creators of Les Misérables comes a stunning theatrical experience
centering on a classic love story. In a modern re-telling of Madame Butterfly, two
lovers – an American GI and a Vietnamese girl – are united in love but separated
by war during the fall of Saigon. Miss Saigon is an international sensation and
one of the longest-running Broadway musicals capturing multiple Tony Awards.
An epic and daring pop opera that is universal in its emotional power, Miss Saigon
features such musical numbers as I Still Believe, Why God Why, Sun and Moon
and I’d Give My Life for You. Contains mature themes, situations, and language.
