In the nursing world itis important that a nurse does not attempt to bites more than they
can chew. This is why it is important that there is to some extent a nurse to patient ratio policy in
place to help protect nurses in their practice. By making this policy, jt assures nurses will have a
maximum limit to the number of patients they can safely take care of so they can provide better
quality and safer care to patients ghd this will also prevent nurse burn out effect.
