woesABSTRACT
The Septenber 19,1985 earthquake, originated along the Guerrero-Michoacan,
Mexico coast, with a magnitude of 8.1, was one of the main seismic events
xecorded up to date, by the extensive damage in one of the biggest cities
in the world, but also by the number, quality and distribution of the
accelerograms recorded.
Records from 50 accelerographs from the instruments of the Institute of
Engineering network, in operation during the earthquake, were obtained
of the main shock, and several more from the 7.5 magnitude aftershock.
This catalog includes the results from the standard accelerogram processing
of 11 records from the 8.1 event in the Moxico City area, more than 300 km
away from the epicentral zone.
The standard process includes base line, digital filtering and instrumental
correction, to obtain acceleration, velocity and displacement. The Fourier
and response spectra are also included.
