At the moment, the crane LTM 1225 is not available, so we have to mobilize another crane Demag AC 200 replaced for crane LTM 1225. The purpose of this procedure is to describe the assembly and installation of Launching Gantry #2 (LG2) at piers P10-04 and P10-05 location which be used for erection of spans using the span-by-span method for the HCMC Line 1 project. This procedure is specific to the assembly of the LG2 only at location P10-04 to P10-05 ‘and shows the exact crane requirements and positioning making consideration of the local site constraints associated with this location. This procedure should not be used for the assembly of any other launching gantry or for any other location. 1.2 Scope of work This procedure describes the assembly and installation of the LG2 at piers P10-04 and P10-05. Put pipe D800 in drain ditch for drainage, slope of pipe is 1% followed existing slope of drainage. Backfill the ditch and compact. 7. Install a complete temporary shoring tower 8. Connect the upper suspension cleats with the M20 bolts, "Hoist the roller sledge plate assembly and install the two hydraulic jacks and secure with 4 No. M27 x70 grade 8.8 bolts. = Install the roller assembly onto the jacks and secure with the @39 mm pin. Verify that the Teflon is installed to the underside the sledge plates with the M6 x 20 countersunk set screws grade 10.9. Lift and slide the two roller assemblies onto the longitudinal beam ensuring that the transversal jack connections are orientated inwards. Position the two roller assemblies on the main girder assembly side, and secure with chain blocks or tirfors. Insert the two @32 and 12675 mm length bar between the longitudinal rail & the bottom of the sledge plate and secure. Assemble the step by step jack to the bracing structure, ready for lifting. Install the girder anchorage jack to the support with a 70 pin. Install the fork system with 4 No. M16 x 40 and 4No. M16 x 60 screws. Install the two hydraulic powerpacks, electrical panel and brackets. Install walkways and handrails. Connect the hydraulic hoses and fill the powerpack with hydraulic cil Check that the hydraulic systems functions correctly. 3.2.2 Auxiliary Support (AS) - Assembly Install the bearing plates to the underside of the main supporting jacks. Install the main supporting jacks inside the bearing jack beams and secure with 8 No. M20 x 90 grade 8.8 bolts. Position suitable shims to support the traversal rail Remove the upper relocation rollers. Install the traversal rail on top of the supporting beams and connect with the M20 x 60 and M20 x 70 grade 8.8 bolts. Connect the upper suspension cleats with the M20 bolts. Remove the protection and clean/lubricate the stainless steel sliding surfaces. Check that the hydraulic systems functions correctly. 3.2.3 Front Support (FS) ~ Pre-assembly and installation ‘The front support will be pre-assembled at ground level following the sequence below: Set up the traversal rail on its side and pack up with timbers so that it rests approximately level Position the top female section of the support and pack up with timber so that it rests in a level configuration such that : ©. The bracket for the articulated arms faces upwards © The holes in the connecting flanges align correctly © The bottom plain flange offset projects towards the centre of the beam. Connect the top female section of the support to the traversal rail using the 32 no. M27 x 60 grade 8.8 bolts. Insert and install the extension jack and connect to the traversal rail bracket with @70 pin. Install the lower male section of the support onto the pier head ensuring that bracket for the walkways is facing to the front of the gantry and that the widest section of the baseplate faces inwards. Ensure that there are enough timber packers on top of the pads to avoid any contact between the main girder elements and the rail * By use of the mobile crane, position the first element on the pads, and shim to level using steel plates to have a correct vertical & horizontal alignment. * Position the second element, align and shim as necessary and install the shear pins and PT bars. Note that both @56 mm and @40 PT bars are used for the standard gantries and it is important that the correct sizes are used at the correct joint. The size of the bars at each joint will be specified on the connection stressing record sheet. * Tighten the retainer nuts for the shear pins using a flogging spanner. + Stress the bars as indicated in the tensioning data sheet ensuring that the correct size bar by using high pressure hydraulic operated stud tensioner starting from the centre to the outside. = The PT bars will be stressed in 2 stages to ensure accurate seating for the spherical nuts. = As these joints function as a friction grip connection, the residual load in the bar is of utmost importance. A “lift-off” test will be performed on the first bars stressed to ensure the correct residual load is achieved and dependant on the results, the jack force will be slightly adjusted to suit. = The electric operated hydraulic stud tensioners will be equipped with calibrated gauges (calibration certificates to be provided) to ensure that the correct tension is applied to the PT bars. The lifting slings will be connected to the RHS main girder at the specified lifting points via shackles and will be connected to the block of the cranes. The main girder will be hoisted maintaining a horizontal configuration and will be installed onto the far roller assembly closest to the P10-04 and P10-05 on the front and Tear support, Install the anchor block assemblies on the girder runway with two @56 pins and connect the hydraulic cylinder (already mounted on rear & auxiliary support) with a 970 pin. ‘Then release the crane, and install the guide wheels. M18 bolts. Then, secure the hanging frames with the diagonal bracing by use of 2 no. 025 pins. Install the suspension line beams complete with the adjusting jacks, walkways and handrails. Install the support plates and the hanger bars. Install the self lifting mechanism and position the bars to suit the first type of span to be adjusted. 3.6 Final Operations Connect the spreader beam to the winch trolley lower pulley block. ‘Check the function of the passive break to the hoist drum by invoking a power shutdown to ensure that breaks are activated. Check to ensure that the break is teleased when the power is returned. Set the upper and lower hoisting limit switch for the winch trolley. Adjust the limits of the translation limit switches. Check for smooth traversing of the winch trolley. ‘Check for smooth longitudinal travel along the main girder billets. Check the function of the radio control system and the emergency break panic button. Induction will provide personnel with a briefing to ensure that they fully understand all safety requirements.
