Try this at Home!

It is often said that food tastes better when youre enjoying it with other
people. Try making this delicious dessert, and test out whether there is a
difference in the taste when you eat it at dinner time with your family or
when you eat it as a snack when you dont have time to fix something.

Cherry Vanilla Coke Poke Cake

Ingredients:
1 Pkg. French Vanilla Cake Mix (plus ingredients on box to prepare cake)
1 Pkg. Cherry Flavored Gelatin (6 ounce)
12 ounces of Coca-Cola
Cup of Cold Water
1 Container of Whipped Topping (8 ounce)
1 Pkg. Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix (3.5 ounce)
1 Cup of Milk
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
Maraschino Cherries (optional)
Chocolate Jimmies (optional)
Directions:
Prepare the cake batter and bake as directed on the package for a 13x9in. pan. Cool
the cake in the pan for 15 minutes. Using a large fork or the end of a large spoon, poke
the cake at inch intervals.
Using a medium bowl, add the Coca-Cola and water to the cherry gelatin and stir the
mixture until it is dissolved. Pour the mixture over the cake and refrigerate it for an
hour.
Combine the vanilla pudding mix with the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until it is
smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping, and then spread the mixture over the
cake.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight.
Garnish the cake with chocolate jimmies and/or cherries when serving if youd like.
