‘Team Name: Old World New World Technology
These are the terms of group conduct and cooperation that we agree on as a team. This team
contract is valid throughout the duration of the STEM Discovery Center Project, with amendments
possible only during the window listed in the Deadlines section of this document.
Group Roles and Participation:
Each member is assigned a role for completion, maintenance, and organization of routine or
anticipated tasks:
Tyler ~- In charge of maintaining a bill of materials, submitting the bill of materials, and keeping
inventory of all materials relevant to this project.
Leslie -- In charge of being facilitator, moderator, and rubric queen.
Shelby ~ In charge of keeping meeting minutes, as well as take a lead role on the design notebook.
‘Yusef -- In charge of networking, resources, and labour.
In the spirit of the collaborative nature of STEM education, group members agree to honour and
support one another in the pursuit of these endeavours.
‘Communication:
1. Slack will be the prefered platform for all communication. Team members should check
Slack daily and respond to posts within 24 hours. Phone/text will be used for urgent
communications.
2. Allteam member communication should be clear and to the point.
3. Discuss concerns/deal with conflicts within the group as they emerge rather than with non-
group members in an inappropriate way.
4. Be honest and proactive about concerns and needs to preserve efficiency of the final
product.
Meetings:
1, Start on time, end on time.
2. Stick to the agenda (posted in Slack at least 24 hours in advance), with open discussion
occurring during the set-aside time and discussion options “parked” until a later time.
3. Step up, make room, and maintain professional respect for one another.
Note taker will upload meeting minutes to Slack within 24 hours.
Conduct:
1. Resolve conflict in a professional manner.
2. Allteam members will actively and respectfully listen to the ideas and contributions of
others.
3. All team members should state their points of view and ideas in a non-judgmental, non-
attacking way. In addition, team members will not take professional criticism personally.
4. Complete routine tasks per the assigned roles.5. Prior to any assignment submission, the responsible team member will upload the
assignment draft to Slack at least 48 hours in advance for revision.
Conflict:
1. Resolve conflict in a timely manner using professional, polite confrontation.
2, Disputes over ideas, processes, etc. will be put to an anonymous vote if a clear decision
cannot be reached.
3. Ifnecessary, Dr. Rambo will serve a mediator for intractable conflicts, disagreements,
and/or disputes.
