Have you experience being physically present, but not mentally present in

school? If you are, then you might be experiencing on of the mental effects of sleep
deprivation, loss of focus. Since sleep deprivation is common to students studying in
Mapua Institute of Technology, researchers decided to investigate how it can affect
their minds, and also their studies.
The whole research is about sleep deprivation affecting students. It serves as
a reminder for them to know that sleep plays an important role in their cognitives
performance. In line with schools vision and mission, the research concerns the
effectiveness of students to learn, and be a product of change for the betterment of
the country.
One of the mental effects of sleep deprivation among the ENG 11 A18
students of the 2nd Quarter 2013-2014 is they are less focused. Sleep is responsible
