Note: The numerical discrepancies are due to the methodological differences between the two surveys. In
particular, in the survey of the Hellenic Statistical Authority (years 2000-2004) the data were received by
the passport control of the border crossings, while the Border Survey of the Bank of Greece (data for international arrivals for the years 2005-2012) is counting non-residents, i.e. people whose residence is not
Greece.
