3 Procedure Soak the sample in tap water with the 250 mm of sample end
portions being out of the water surface, and leave the sample in the water for 2
hours. After that, apply DC voltage of 100 to 500 V between the sample
conductor and water and measure insulator resistance after 1 minute from the
start of the voltage application. Calculate the volume specific resistance based
on the obtained insulator resistance value using the following equation and

(Qmm) L: length of the sample soaked in water (mm) R: insulator resistance
