A Report on CME organized on

occasion of 77th birth


anniversary of Dr D. P. Rastogi at
Dr D. P. Rastogi Central Research
Institute, Noida

On occasion of 77th birth anniversary of late Dr D. P.


Rastogi, a CME was organized on 8 th July 2016 in Dr D P
Rastogi Central Research Institute, Noida. Dr B. S. Arya,
Assistant Director In-charge of the institute in his
Welcome address said, Dr D. P. Rastogi had been
outstanding throughout his life time. He was an
acclaimed clinician, teacher & researcher and brought
homoeopathic system of medicine on a high pedestal.
Due to his untiring efforts and immense contribution to

the field of homoeopathic research, the institute was


named after him as a mark of respect and benevolence in
the year 2015. Dr A. K. Vichitra, RO/scientist4, paid his
respect by appreciating Dr Rastogis achievements &
awards, and added that Dr Rastogi was not only a great
orator but great listener too.
All the staff members & delegates expressed their
gratitude by giving a floral tribute to Dr Rastogi.
The CME session was initiated by DR Ashok Sharma,
CMO, Delhi Govt. posted at IHBAS Hospital, Shahadra,
with a presentation on Temperament & individual
difference and clinical utility. He focused on Harm
avoidance, Novelty seeking, Reward dependence &
persistence. He shared his clinical experience by using
repertorial rubrics from Herring Analytic Repertory.
Dr Debadatta Nayak, RO/S2, CCRH made a
presentation on Drug validation & challenges. He
explained the importance of drug validation and why it is
needed in todays era.
Dr Roza RO/S2, CCRH made a presentation on Data
collection and Research. She explained how data can be
collected from day to day practice and in OPD and how
the process for documentation and publication of the
data helps in policymaking.
Dr R. K. Manchanda, Director General, CCRH summed
up the session with a discussion and further modalities in
capturing OPD data in systematic manner which will help
to further validate homoeopathy.
