DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
Weekend of August 6th & 7th
Starting at 9:00 a.m.

Come join us for a fun, exciting and competitive weekend of doubles

tennis. The Bill & Polly Allen Tournament will be taking place over the
weekend of August 6th & 7th from 9:15 a.m. to approximately 1:00 p.m.
(Please arrive no later than 9:00 a.m. to ensure the tournament can start on
time).
Players have the choice to participate in one or both of the
tournament dates. The Mens & Womens doubles tournament will be held
on Saturday the 6th and the NEW SENIORS MIXED DOUBLES TOURNAMENT
on Sunday the 7th. Depending on tournament size, an 8 or 10-game proset
will be played to determine the winner (or a one hour time limit). Each
team is guaranteed at least two matches per day. Players have until
August 4th to sign up and GUARANTEE themselves a spot. Tennis
balls, refreshments, food and prizes will be provided during the weekend.
SATURDAY: Bill & Polly Allen Memorial Mens/Womens Doubles
Tournament
Participants are to sign up individually and names will be drawn from
an A and B pool to determine the teams. Any individual of any skill
level (and age) is invited to play in the mens/womens draw of the
tournament. Players with the highest skill level will be placed in the A
pool and matched with a player in the B pool to ensure a fair, fun and
balanced tournament, giving every team an opportunity to win the event.
SUNDAY: Bill & Polly Allen Memorial Mixed Seniors Doubles
Tournament
Unlike the event on Saturday, participants are required to sign up
as teams. In order to participate in the seniors competition, players
must be a minimum 50 years of age, and teams a combined age of

110 years or more. Teams must be composed of one male and one
female participant.
