Sh urate at Se a eave aan 1830 a which oi in ine she mas ved om ke cae and retuned oe eden, IDENTIFICATION OF DECEASED TAG #AM7626: When I made contac withthe deceased I observed a white sheet over her at frst, I then removed the shoot and I observed a white female, approximately in her mid-Sies wearing a bright orange shir with a yellow coat over the top oft The female had short brown hat and was also ng a neck brace as it appeared rescue personnel had already attempted to attend to her. Furthermore the deceased was wearing black bike sluots, those were down around her mid thigh as they had been entangled with the seat upon impact and hed been pulled down. Taso observed a black shoe on her left foot and her right foot did net have a shoe on and her foot ws parilly severed at the ankle. 1 futher observed a blue bike, identified a a specialized Dolce wrapped around the deceased's body around the waist area withthe sprocket resting on the back tre ofthe pickup truck. The viet and the bike were touching the back tre withthe victim's heed fusing inthe north east direction, There ‘were also some red clothing ateles around the scene and the deceased's feet were resting on the handlebars of the bike as the bike had been turned upside down, Purthermore the deceased was also wearing black and gray fingerless bike gloves. CONTACT WITH STEPHEN HAMILTON: ‘While atthe mobile command center in Markin Glenn Patk I observed a white male approach the truck and make contact with hima and he identified himself as STEPHEN HAMILTON, He said he thought his wife may have boon involved in the incident. At which point in time I esked him to give descriptors of his wife. The description HAMILTON gave matched the description ofthe deceased thet I was assigned under tag #AM7626. I approached the scene from the south and reported to Lieutenant ESTER. Lieutenant ESTER assigned me to victim #3 and asked me to attempt to identity the subject SCENE DESCRIPTION: : ee - ‘The seene can be described as a two lane roadway running north and south parallel to the Martin Glen Park onthe eastside of the road, AST ‘approached the scone I could see a debris field of bieyele parts fron the point of impact tothe last bike to the north. The debris fed cousisted of miscellaneous tols fiom bicycles for changing fat tires on the roadway, also there were parts of bieyles scattered about the area inthe ditch to {he east and inthe middle of the roadway. ‘As I continu to walk northerly trough the scene | notion «pickup tuck tbat appeared to have runoff the oudway and was facing the southwest iretion almost completely ot ofthe roadway. This was a clip in style shoes that was ateched to he ight pedal, The shoe was a black shoe Giro brand size 7.5. He said he was able to track her to tat location via her cell phone and when he heard there was an accident he figured that she was thereto assist other people due tothe fact that she was @ nurse. He said he did not realize it atthe time however she possibly was a victim, He suid when he got to the seene he met with officers at the seene who directed him to go tothe command post ‘Once BRADLEY was atthe command post spoke with him in reference to his wife and he described her as a white female, approximately 5°. He deseribed the bieycl in which sho rides as a Pinarello FP3 bike. Brian DeWyse from MSP Paw Paw Post on June 7, 2016 at approximately 7:23 pm requesting crime scene assistance of a vehicle crash. ‘The request was to process a vehicle and nine biaycles for trace and biological evidence. It was decided that the vehicle and bicycles would be processed the following day. Arrival of higan State Police (MSP) Crime Scone Response Team (CSRT): Prior-to leaving the MSP. Grand Rapids Forensic Laboratory Captain Van Dyken from Kalamazoo County Sheriff Department was contacted via phone by F/S Kevin Streeter at approximately 8:20 am on June 8, 2016 to obtain information regarding the scene and location. The MSP CSRT arrived at McDonald's Towing at 2975 Interstate Parkway, Kalamazoo, Ml 49048 on June 8, 2016 at approximately 10:38 am, ‘A.copy of the signed search warrant was provided on June 8, 2016 at approximately 10:46 am. Tho relevant supporing data upon which the expert opinion or inference was mede are available for review/inspecton Laboratory No: GR16-3431 Record No: 1 Date of Report: June 9, 2016 ‘Agency No: 16-5895 Location/Description of the Crime Scone: | The vehicte to be processed was located in a single stall bay of a garage of McDonald's Towing located at 2975 Interstate Parkway in Kalamazoo, Michigan 48048. It was noted upon arrival by the MSP CSRT that several damaged bicycle/bioycle parts were located in the cargo bed ofthe vehicle. There were 6 damaged bicycles Noted in the vehicle bed. Three additional damaged bicycles were noted along one wall ofthe garage, The damaged bicycles located in the bed of the vehicle were removed from the bed and placed on the floor of the garage. No lft was located in the bay the vehicle was located in. Because it would be necessary to examine the underside of the vehicle for any potential evidence, the CSRT requested the towing company to move the vehicle to another section of the garage structure which did have a vehicle lit. Photographs were taken of the vehicle and bicycles prior to removing the damaged bicycles and prior to the movement of the vehicle from one bay to another. The vehicle to be processed is a 1996 Chevrolet pick-up truck, blue in color, bearing Michigan registration plate of CEN 5189, 2 2017 expiration tab, and VIN# 1GCEK14RXTZ143360. The odometer reading was 162622. | | Considerable damage was observed to the front of the vehicle which included the grilbumper area, the front of the engine compartment, the hood, and the windshield. The hood was buckled and crumpled exposing the radiator. The radiator was pushed back and leaning towards the driveripassenger compartment. The windshield showed damage in at least two areas. The larger of the two areas was located towards the passenger side of the truck. The windshield was broken through at this location. A smaller area of damage was noted approximately in front of the driver's/center console area. A possible third area of damage was noted towards the driver's side of the vehicle windshield. The damage in these smaller areas did not exhibit any obvious penetration of the windshield. The radio antenna was noted bent with the tip facing outward and somewhat toward the rear of the vehicle, The passenger side mirror was also damaged and pushed back and towards the passenger door. Prior-to.processing the vehicle it was noted that two large-paper-bags were located in-the driver's side floorboard area. Both of these bags were identified as "Junk". Photographs were taken of the bags but the contents not searched, Several items were noted in the driver's side floorboard area. In the search of the vehicle's center console, two small bags containing green material, a pipe, a bottle labeled as Tramadol and a bottle labeled as Ciclobenzaprina were located. Two cell phones were also located; one was located on the floorboard, the other In the center console, Several items were observed in the bed of the vehicle after the bicycle/bicycle parts were removed, Noted in the vehicle was a greyitan colored cloth bag, a metal chain with hooks, several beverage containers, a metal rake with wooden handle, a piece of PVC pipe, a metal bar, a white colored bag, a Frisbee, a sledge hammer, rope, rags, and assorted other debris. Within the grey/tan cioth bag Items of clothing and a blue colored bag were noted. Within the blue colored bag an assortment of jewelry, watches and other paraphernalia were observed The tan colored bag, the white colored bag, the Frisbee, the PVC pipe, and the metal bar all exhibited red brown stains on them, In the white colored bag, a bottle of pineapple juice, a bottle of Bacardi Torched Cherry Rum, a bottle of Malibu Caribbean Rum, a can of Bud Light, a bottle of Boone's Farm Strawberry Hil, a can of Budweiser, and a bottle of Ciroc Coconut vodka were observed and removed for photographing, This rport contains the conctusions, opinions, andor interpretations of th laboratary analyst whose signeture appears on this por.
