TCHS Background

Texas City High School is located in a major energy hub consisting of a

strong petrochemical industry with several significant base operations from
Marathon, Valero, Eastman, Dow and Ashland. It is also the third largest
port in Texas and tenth in the nation.

The majority of our property tax revenue comes from the industry allowing
for new facilities and grant options for our teachers and district.

We have 1868 students with 52 collegiate students at College of the

Mainland. This allows us to be a 5A school in Texas.
