Reflective Writing essay

This is my first class like this in about 13 years, but even though it has been that long
after reading the characteristics and factors surrounding physics there are some things
that will stay with me after taking this class. I will list some of those now.
My first topic I learned was on inclined planes. After first learning about this I went and
played pool and golf and while playing both games I practiced both inclined planes and
downward sloping planes.
I was also interested in preforming inertia with a tablecloth and plastic place settings we
did this with 3 different tables to give us different results. I did this with my kids so we
could have some fun as we all four could learn at the same time and as we pulled the
cloth table one had every place setting fall off of it because I had my husband slowly pull
the table clothe. Table two was pulled a little faster by my six year old but only half of the
plastics fell while the others stayed in place. Finally table three was pulled the fastest I
could resulting in all of the place settings to remain en tacked on the table which was not
just fun for my kids but for me as well. During this class I have defiantly grown a liking
and understanding of physics but unfortunately the math aspect of this class hasnt helped
me understand any type of mathematics. During High school my highest math course was
applied pre-algebra so I am the worse kind of person to start with this class
mathematically due to the fact that I havent started with my college math classes. The
most difficult area of this course has been the understanding of nuclear physics and
Relativity due to the extremism. I dont think I have the ability to learn such things till I
have been able to take higher up math course, which I hope to progress and since I will
be keeping my physics book I can go back through this class through my college degree
and understand. So in conclusion I would like to hope that with this class I can finally
understand what the cast of Big Bang Theory are talking about.
