Introduction
The Ascended Masters of the Great White Brotherhood have long warned
their students about the lures and traps of the psychic realm and the false teachers
and their false teachings, which are often subtly interwoven with true teachings in
order to cause as many souls of light as possible to diverge from the Path.


I have written many blog posts regarding the dangers of the psychic and the
hooks of the false hierarchy. Here are the 14 that I consider to be most important
for spiritual seekers worldwide. The Masters teachings and admonishments on
false teachers, false teachings and the psychic are eternally relevant. Being unaware
of them can cause one of the most devastating hindrances to a soul's evolutionloss
of opportunity to progress, sometimes taking lifetimes to get back on track.


It is with deep gratitude for the teachings of the ascended masters through
their Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet that I share these
posts with you.

The false teachings of alice bailey

Many students of the Ascended Masters are familiar with the Theosophical
Society through the writings of Helena Blavatsky and with the I AM Activity through
the writings of Guy and Edna Ballard, especially the first three books of The "I AM"
Discourses, (highly recommended). Some students are also familiar with the writings
of Alice Bailey, who, according to the Ascended Master Kuthumi, failed her
initiations:

In the past we have had to withdraw our support from those who were given the
opportunity to represent us. The one who for a time had the opportunity of
representing the master Djwal Kul soon lost that authority through intellectual pride
and the brittleness of the lower mental body, which can never be the channel of the
mind of God. Thus I expose to you the false teachings subtly woven into the work of
Alice Bailey, whose failure to surrender totally rendered her unfit as an instrument of
the Tibetan Master.

The way of the intellect is not the path of the Buddha or of the chohans of the rays. It
should not be the path of their chelas. Now the masters of the Far East must seek to
undo the harm that has been done to their chelas by the Lucis Trust organization,
which claims our backing but has it not at all. Alice Bailey, due to her lack of surrender
to the will of God, never passed the final initiations which would have qualified her as
our amanuensis. Nevertheless, the intellect, in its attempt to portray hierarchy, is
prolific. (1)

Even though the masters went on to sponsor other organizations like The
Bridge to Freedom and eventually The Summit Lighthouse through Mark L. Prophet
and, later, his wife, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, the damage that was done by the
interweaving of false teachings with true teachings in the work of Bailey, was not
insignificant, and theres been an ongoing price to pay by the masters who had
originally taken on the responsibility of sponsoring her.


In referring to the Lucis Trust, a trust founded by Alice Bailey and her
husband for the publishing of her books, and another group that lost the Masters'
sponsorship, Kuthumi said:


Both schools which have grown up around these ones who fell short of the
mark of their high calling present calculated and cunning detours for souls searching
for truth. Now we see the burden of the masters who have sponsored these and other
chelas who have subsequently failed. They are burdened with an enormous
responsibility to correct the errors of those who speak in their name yet have neither
the authority nor the light emanation of our office. (2)

ALICE BAILEY AND ROBERTO ASSAGIOLI



Just how far can false teachings penetrate into the hearts and minds and
souls of men and womeninto a society unaware? Quite far. Consider the subtle (or
not so subtle) influence of Alice Bailey on psychotherapy in the 20th and 21st
centuries through the work of Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist, who began
developing his theory of psychosynthesis around 1910 and who, from 1930 on, was
a close friend and student of Baileys.


Assagioli, known within Baileys Arcane School as FCD, received channeled
messages and assignments from The Tibetan, or "DK," a reference to the Master
Djwal Kul, who originally sponsored Bailey, but who, according to the Ascended
Master Kuthumi, soon removed his sponsorship due to Baileys intellectual pride
and brittleness and failure to surrender to the will of God. (1)


In Al Mankoffs article, Roberto Assagioli, Psychosynthesis and the Esoteric
Roots of Transpersonal Psychology, we read:

...Perhaps the disciple of greatest world-wide fame of all 42 disciples was Doctor
Roberto Assagioli, Italian psychotherapist, said to be the father of Psychology of the
Soul, Psychosynthesis. He is shown in the volume as FCD or Freedom from Ties,
Chelaship and Detachment.


Mankoff goes on to describe several of the messages and instructions
Assagioli received from The Tibetan (DK) via Bailey regarding several projects and
ideas regarding the field of psychology, stating that, Here, then, was the spark that
lit the flame of Psychosynthesis and Transpersonal Psychology.

In his book The Adventure of Self-Discovery: Dimensions of Consciousness and
New Perspectives in Psychotherapy and Inner Exploration, psychiatrist Stanislav Grof
mentions Assagioli and Bailey and The Tibetan in his section on Dimensions in
Consciousness:

An entity who called himself the Tibetan was acknowledged by Alice Bailey as the
real author of a large series of her spiritual writings. Roberto Assagioli credited the
same entity as the source of his psychological system of psychosynthesis. (2)

And, in The Future of New Religious Movements, edited by David G. Bromley
and Phillip E. Hammond, Assagioli is also mentioned in connection with Alice Bailey:

... Lesser known is Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist who absorbed Theosophy
and especially its revisionist presentation produced by Alice Bailey. His thought and
the professionals who practice his system, psychosynthesis, have become thoroughly
intertwined with Baileys Arcane School and its offshoots. (3)

Just as the Ascended Master Kuthumi warns of the false teachings subtly
woven into the work of Alice Bailey, Mankoff tells how deeply enmeshed Assagioli
was with Bailey and The Tibetan; Grof ties Bailey and The Tibetan to Assagioli and
psychosynthesis, and Bromley and Hammond, like Kuthumi, mention the
interweavingthe intertwiningof psychosynthesis and Alice Baileys Arcane
School (and her Tibetan).

ASCENDED MASTERS AND THE PSYCHOLOGY OF YOUR
SOUL


El Morya on The Human Will:


The problem of absolutes is always at handabsolute Evil and absolute Good.
These conditions are so remote from the average person that their concern lies not in
the absolute but in the relative.

They are not concerned with the question Is it a condition that manifests good
or evil? but when making a moral decision they ask, Is it relatively good or evil by
comparison to other conditions, and does it represent the best choice?


Understanding moral values, which are valid because they are based on truth,
will help men to understand that their progress must come from their present state
and move forward. Too many are obsessed with the idea of a utopian ideal which,
because it is unobtainable, they use as an excuse for lower standards. (1)

Psychosynthesis is a popular form of psychotherapy throughout the world.
Some of Assagiolis concepts most likely ring true with many a spiritual seeker and
trained psychotherapist, some probably don't. When I first learned about Assagioli
and psychosynthesis in the late 1970s while in graduate school, I found part of it
very interestingand I found part of it to be somewhat mentally heavy. I couldnt
put my finger on it. Why not? Well, false teachings are subtly woven into true
teachingsits not as if they are printed in bold red letters that flash Watch out!
False teaching!

(Since I choose to believe what the Master Kuthumi said about Alice Bailey
losing her sponsorship early on due to pride and the failure to surrender to Gods
Will, it follows that anyone, including Assagioli, who then sat at her feet for several
decades and received messages and instructions through her from an entity that
called itself The Tibetan, was definitely under his/her influence, no matter how
educated or well known, and that such an influence inevitably had an impact on
their work.)

Back then, I had not yet found the teachings of the Ascended Masters, but when
I did, I noticed that all the books by Mark and Elizabeth Clare Prophet felt
completely different in my hands from anything else I'd ever read.


It was with great relief that I first read Understanding Yourself: A Spiritual
Approach To Self-Discovery And Soul-Awareness, by Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth
Clare Prophet, which is best described by its back cover:


Understanding Yourself reaches beyond the boundaries of the outer
personality into the infinite world of the soul. This insightful work offers unique
perspectives into how to master the components of beingthe ego, karma and the
Self beyond the self. Most importantly, it helps us listen to the voice of the soul and
bring its universal wisdom to play in our lives.

Another excellent and thorough book for anyone interested in working
on their psychology or getting in touch with their Higher Self and expanding their
consciousness is The Human Aura: How to Activate and Energize Your Aura and
Chakras, by Kuthumi and (the real) Djwal Kul. The diagrams and illustrations are

excellent; the teachings can be read again and again and the exercises mastered to
greater and greater degrees throughout your life. Highly recommended!

KUTHUMI ON: THE SUPERCONSCOUS, CONSCIOUS,
SUBCONSCIOUS AND UNCONCSCIOUS

The Ascended Master Kuthumi is known as the Master Psychologist. He is
the master people connect with and pray to whenever they need to work on their
psychologywhenever they need to plow through difficult or stubborn behavioral
patterns, including those problems that dont seem to have their origin in this life.
Ever find yourself stuck in a situation or relationship and you simply dont know
how to get out of it or make necessary changes (because youre not sure re: what it
is, exactly, that needs to be changed)? Then, Kuthumi is the master to consider
asking for help.

Kuthumi is a most practical master and has given us teachings and a
specific prayer and meditation to facilitate the resolution of our psychology:

If you use the I AM Light decree with all of its visualizations and mantric
force, if you will take the teachings the Messenger has given and give the call to the I
AM Presence and Holy Christ Self to enter the superconscious, the conscious, the
subconscious and the unconscious mind, you will find yourself day by day more in
control of these four lower bodies, who are your servants, each one a vessel for the
fulfillment of your mission. (1)


A wonderful and practical offer from an ascended master, dont you think?
Yes, but, what exactly are the superconscious, conscious, subconscious and
unconscious minds? Interestingly, they are concepts within the field of psychology
that Roberto Assagioli included in his development of Psychosynthesis, and he was
one of the early thinkers (but not the earliest) to consider a deeper, expanded, or
more unitive relationship with this world. (2)

Assagiolis concept of the superconscious, a realm above and beyond our
conscious level of awareness, is explained by Martha Crampton her article,
Psychosynthesis: Some Key Aspects Of Theory And Practice:

The superconscious, as he viewed it, is the source of our higher human
functions and activities. It includes the drive for purpose and meaning in life; our
authentic values; our superior intuitions in the realms of artistic creation, scientific
discovery, philosophical or spiritual insight; and our altruistic promptings to

humanitarian service. He also thought of it as the realm of genius, of the contemplative

states experienced by the great mystics, and of what Maslow refers to as "peak
experiences" (Maslow, 1970). Assagioli's conception of the unconscious has much in
common with teachings from the esoteric and spiritual traditions of both East and
West. Like the Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, who spoke of the "prospective" or
"forward-looking" unconscious, Assagioli believed that the superconscious is creative
and that it bears those latent positive energies which have yet to emerge, that the
future can bring into manifestation.


Why would the Master recommend a concept by someone who seemingly sat
at the feet of Alice Bailey for decades and who received messages and assignments
from an entity called The Tibetan? Well, in the first place, the concept of a
superconscious did not originate with Assagioli [see Notes below], and, in the
second place, he may have developed the basics of his concept of the superconscious
before he sat at Alice Baileys feet and absorbed whatever it was of The Tibetan
that came through her or that resulted from promptings and assignments from The
Tibetan. Slightly complicated, when you consider how subtle the interweaving of
false teachings with true teachings can be.

An example re: how the early works of some individuals are clean and
free from false teachings but their later works are revealed to be false by the
ascended masters: Elizabeth Clare Prophet recommended a small book entitled, At
the Feet of the Master, written by J. Krishnamurti under the pen name of Alcyone.
Krishnamurti was sponsored by the Great White Brotherhood when he wrote the
book, but later lost their sponsorship, as explained by the Ascended Master Kuthumi
in 1976:

Another who was selected to take the training for the calling of representing
the World Teachers and the coming Buddha, Lord Maitreya, the one who wrote At the
Feet of the Master under the pen name Alcyone, also failed the test of the intellect and
of the subtleties of spiritual pride. Today Krishnamurti, denounced by the Brotherhood,
denounces the true teachers and the path of initiation, proclaiming that the individual
needs only himself and that this is the only God there is. Leading thousands of youth in
the direction of sophisticated disobedience to the God within, to Christ the inner
mentor, and to the masters of the Brotherhood, this fallen one has been the instrument
of a philosophy that is not and does not in any way represent the true teachings of the
Great White Brotherhood. (3)

So, whats a seeker of Truth who chooses to work on their psychology to
do if they pick up a book that may contain concepts that may have been influenced
by or based on false teachings? Well, I believe that one practical option is to not
read such material. Another practical option to consider, would be to pray to the
masters and the angels for discernment in choosing books and ask for the sealing of
ones entire consciousness from the negative influence of any false teachings or
concepts or diagrams within a specific work. Ones free will comes into play here,

and free will is always respected by the ascended masters and their messengers
by all of Hierarchy.


(Please note that I am not recommending any of Assagiolis writings,
especially that on The Will, since much of it was developed as a result of an
assignment from "The Tibetan.")


Here is the prayer, I AM Light(4), as recommended by Kuthumi, which,
along with the books recommended from yesterdays post, have been found by
many people I know to be incredibly helpful. Of course, working through difficult
knots within ones psychology might require the help of a trained counselor or
psychotherapist. I highly recommend taking Kuthumi up on his offer to help in
combination with professional counseling may be the missing link in the accelerated
resolution of anyones psychologyit might just turn out to be the offer you cant

Notes

Superconscious experience has long been studied by Western psychology, and we will
here mention some of the thinkers Assagioli himself regarded as addressing this area.
As early as 1901, the Canadian psychiatrist Richard Bucke (1967) published his study
of superconscious experiences in his book, Cosmic Consciousness , making him perhaps
the first transpersonal psychologist. Around the same time as Buckes work,
psychologist William James (1961) published his classic work on spiritual experience,
The Varieties of Religious Experience. And adopting a term used by Rudolf Otto, C.G.
Jung (1969) affirmed superconscious contents as numinosum which he said could
cause an alteration of consciousness, and pointed to the universality of such

KUTHUMIS ASSIGNMENT FROM THE WORLD MOTHER:
EXPOSE THE FALSE TEACHINGS
In case you've wondered what ascended masters do in order to help mankind,
you may be surprised that some seek illumination from those of greater attainment
in the heaven world and then return to their retreat and develop a plan of action.

For example, in 1976, the Ascended Master Kuthumi began a series of
instruction* on false teachings and false teachers by describing how he went on a
pilgrimage to the altar of the Divine Mother:

I am Kuthumi, and I have come from the altar of the World Mother. My robes
carry the fragrance of her love. Yes, even I am dripping with the golden oil of
consecrated wisdom. I have heard her speak.

The Master goes on to share his experience and some of the details of the
assignment given to him:

Kuthumi, I am come. I send you, beloved son, to carry the teachings of the Mother to
the children of the Father. I send you on a mission to expose the false teachings that the
children might leave these teachings in the way....
" ...I send you forth, Kuthumi, in my name and in my flame to pierce mortal
error and the systems of false teachings that have evolved through the serpentine mind
and the ungodly feelings of doubt, despair, and death.

Together we shall expose the lie! And we shall let the sons and daughters of God on
Terra use their God-ordained Christ consciousness to trace the lie to the Liar in his lair.
We will define the deceptions that will expose the archdeceivers of mankind...."

What did Kuthumi do after receiving his assignment? He returned to the
Retreat of the Brothers of the Golden Robe in Kashmir and, as described in the Master's
own words:

I called a meeting of ascended and unascended devotees of Wisdom and Wisdom's
flame. I told them of my experiences in the central sun, of my pilgrimage to the altar of
the Cosmic Virgin. I told them of her assignment given not only to me, but to all of the
brothers and the sisters who serve in our retreat and in the retreats of the Brotherhood
throughout the earth to make known to the children of God the errors of the wicked and
their wickedness. This assignment calls for action, organization, and the amassing of
the false teachings that they might be dissected, analyzed, and refuted by the Word of
the Logos.
The Master and his co-workers took action and mankind received their
instruction through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare Prophet in 1976. Knowing all too
well that their teachings may not be well received by some, Kuthumi ended his first
instruction with a most illumining poem:

We will then present, as our offering on the altar of the Mother and her
children in this year 1976, our expos.

Some think us right; some think us wrong.

Come what may, it is our freedom to have our say,

To tell the truth as we see it,

To obey the Mother as we hear it.

Therefore, in the spirit

Of the Brothers of the Diamond Heart

We say, let the chips fall where they may!

KUTHUMI: FALSE TEACHINGS AND THE GOAL OF LIFE

What is the purpose of false teachings? According to the Ascended Master
Kuthumi, there is one main reason that false teachings exist: to keep souls
reincarnating lifetime after lifetime in the pursuit of false goals:

The purpose of the fallen ones in their setting-forth of the false teaching is to
establish false goals, to implant within the consciousness of mankind their
enticements, their desires, and their ambitions so that mankind will tie up all of the
energy that God has given them in pursuing false goals. They have determined to
take from mankind the one true goal of life, to destroy the vision of the Goal, the
rationale of the Logos pertaining to that goal, and the God-desire within the soul to
attain the God-appointed goal. The fallen ones have used every avenue of
intellectual and sensual pursuit to rationalize the false goal and to obliterate
almost entirely from the consciousness of mankind the memory of the Goal.
Without the knowledge of the real goal, mankind can find no justification for
entering the path that leads to the goal. After all, if you don't know where you are
going, why take the road that will lead you there?

What, then, is THE goal of life, which can be so easy to forget? According to
Kuthumi:

Blessed ones, the goal of life is simply the ascension. The ascension is the soul's
reunion with God, the individualized I AM Presence of every son and daughter
whom God hath made. The ascension is the acceleration of God in man and of
man's self-awareness in God. The ascension is the return of the prodigal son to the

home of the Father-Mother God. The ascension is the balancing of karma by the
law of harmony and the fulfillment of dharma as one's duty to be one's selfone's
duty to become one's own real God Self.

With the New Year just around the corner, many people are thinking
about setting new goals for themselves in different areas of their lives---job;
education; weight loss and fitness; meditation and spiritual practices; creativity, etc.
If you're stuck trying to think of goals you might actually meet, consider listening to
"The Triumphal March," by Verdi. It is the keynote to the ascension flame, and might
be just the inspiration you've been waiting for...and you might be inspired to new
heights of goal-fittedness!

Who are the Ascended Masters?

Well, if you search on the Internet for "Ascended Masters," you might find
that there are at least 730,000 results for you to consider. Just this morning, I
checked it out and had to wade through a few ads and strange images and go to the
second page on Google to find what I consider to be the best source re: the ascended
masters and their teachings currently available: The Summit Lighthouse. There are
many interesting topics available on the website, including an introduction to seven
of the Ascended Masters, known as the Chohans of the Seven Rays.


The same thing happened when I searched "Ascended Masters" on Yahoo! I
had to go to the second page to find the link to The Summit Lighthouse. The second
page is pretty good for ranking, considering how many other sites are out there, but
there are quite a few links and images on the first and second pages that could hook
someone and cause them to connect with a group of imposters of the ascended
masters, and they might never know it.


The Ascended Master Kuthumi warned of such dangers in 1976*:

For every post and position

Held by an ascended master

Or an unascended chela
In the hierarchy of the Great White Brotherhood,
There is one or a dozen
Or a hundred impostors
Maliciously, mischievously impersonating
That name and that flame.
Thus the false hierarchy rules
In the underworld of the mass subconscious
Of the evolutions who have sought escape
From the oneness of our Father-Mother God.


So, how can you tell if you have been hooked into false teachings or lured by
an image of an imposter of an ascended master? You need to pray for discernment
and discrimination, and consider one of Elizabeth Clare Prophet's many teachings
regarding "trying the spirits" and applying the formula Jesus gave us: "By their fruits
ye shall know them."

KUTHUMI ON INITIATION
What is initiation?

Everyone has heard about the downside of fraternity and sorority initiations
in the past few years, with all sorts of humiliating and dangerous tests required of
those seeking entry into a specific group--some resulting in injury and even death.
And, the horrific activities involved in gang initiations have been covered by the
media for decades.


While many fraternities and sororities do not go out of their way to debase
their pledges, for the new students on campus, it may be difficult to know ahead of
time which do and which don't--which sororities and fraternities offer true
friendship and share in honorable purposes and goals, and which offer friendship
and purpose tainted with humiliation, an unspoken, forced caste system and varying
degrees of degradation and betrayal of one's self.


Spiritual initiations aren't much different. Souls seeking the path of true
spiritual initiation often encounter--wittingly or unwittingly--false teachings, false

teachers and their false initiations, all of which can lead to the degradation and/or
loss of the soul.


In today's society, it is a lot easier than you might think to take a step onto
the wrong path and open yourself up to being "initiated" by fallen angels and the
impostors of the ascended masters. How many of our youth are caught up in the
"Zombie" subculture that permeates all forms of media and has its own style of
clothing, its own parades and events? I know someone who used to work at a
Zombie-themed restaurant where the descriptions of menu items were straight out
of a horror film--guts and all. And, this was a place where you would see Zombie
fans with their young children in tow for the latest special.


So, what's the big deal about horror movies and Zombie-themed food and
clothing? Well, consider what the Ascended Master Kuthumi said in 1976*,
explaining why he and the Brothers of the Golden Robe were so "fierce" and
"fearless" in their work to expose false teachings, false teachers and their false
initiations:


There are those who have been initiated by disembodied members of the black
brotherhood by placing their attention upon murder Agatha Christie style, on
fascination with horror, horror movies, pornography, and pornographic films.
Preoccupation with death and the mood music of death that has been popularized in
this century in so many disguises, beginning with the blues, evolving into every type of
jazz, rock 'n' roll, and acid rock, ties the individual by the flow of the attention to
members of the false hierarchy, embodied and disembodied.


The end result of these obvious and less obvious initiations is that be consent,
conscious or unconscious, the children of the Mother embodied on Terra have been
programmed by les fleurs du mal, 3 and by the seeds of the fallen ones. And wherever
the soil of the subconscious has been wetted by fear and darkened by doubt, the
luciferian seeds have sprouted, becoming an all-consuming cancerif not in the
physical body, then in the astral and mental bodies of the Mother's children....


It is out of this same concern for the children of God, that Elizabeth Clare
Prophet explained the term initiation in Inner Perspectives, Chapter 11: Life as a Path
of Initiation:

Initiation is the testing of the soul. It is Gods way of determining how we will
use the gift of free will. Temptation comes before us; we have to make a decision to
walk the path of honor or to walk the path of the compromise of truth.


The compromising of truth is a theme discussed throughout Kuthumi's
expos of false teachings, false teachers and false initiations, and it is a theme found
in almost every story you might read that covers "initiations gone bad" whether on
college campuses or the streets of many cities, towns, villages or suburbs across the

nations.

KUTHUMI ON FALSE TEACHINGS BASED ON HALFTRUTHS

Over the past several years, I have posted numerous times on the topic of
false teachings and false teachers. While reading through Kuthumi's expos on false
teachings from 1976, I realized again just how critical it is to constantly pray for
discernment and discrimination and to study the teachings of the ascended masters
for illumination.


Consider the following excerpt:

For every teaching which the Lord God has sent forth through his servants in all ages,
there is a false teaching based on half-truths extending to blatant lies which the false
teachers have conveyed. We who seek to separate the threads of truth and error woven
into the fabric of the mass consciousness can scarcely denounce this or that guru, this
or that teaching, without careful explanation of the crisscrossing of the real and the
counterfeit creation. At the basis of every lie is the truth out of which the lie is
fabricated. We must extract the truth, preserve it as a living flame, and see to it that all
residual error is consumed in the sacred name of God.


And, here is a similar teaching in an excerpt from one of the most popular
posts, On Light Mixed with Darkness, that includes more teachings re: the
intertwining of truth with error:


"In your search for God, for the Highest Wisdom, for your Guru, have you
ever picked up a book or looked at a supposedly spiritual image on a website that
struck you as well"close, but no cigar?" Close to feeling like an inspired work of
thought or art, but as you read through the book or look at the image from another
angle, you just know something is off, even if you can't quite put it into words?

If so, good for you! Discernment and discrimination are the requirement of
the hour for anyone on a spiritual path--newcomer or long-time student of
metaphysical teachings. All need discernment, because, as we read in Strategies of
Light and Darkness, one of the most common and, probably one of the most
successful strategies of darkness is to "mix truth with error, good with bad." How
does this happen? Here's one example:

For instance, the false hierarchy might release teachings that are 70 or even 90
percent accurate. The students of the light recognize the element of truth in the teaching
and mistakenly assume that all of it is truth. The teaching, then, hooks the student, and
while their defenses are down, they take in error along with the truth. Later, it is hard to
determine what is truth and what is error, and the student can be led off the spiritual path
by the erroneous concepts implanted in the teaching.

The potential for truth and error to be intertwined is one of the reasons the
ascended masters sponsored their messengers to release their teachings. The mantle of
messenger is what ensures the accuracy of the teaching. (Page 81)."

The "mantle of messenger" that "ensures the accuracy of the teaching" is the
mantle that was upon the Messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet-whose teachings I highly recommend should you ever want to learn more about false
teachings, false teachers and false initiations.

EL MORYA ON COMMUNITY: MILAREPA, BUILDERS
AND USURPERS

It has been years since the Agni Yoga Society, founded by Nicholas and
Helena Roerich, and their illumining Agni Yoga Series were first mentioned in this
blog, and it is probably past time to mention them again!

I was recently reading through New Era Community, when I came upon
section 193, which expounds one of the many stories about the Tibetan Yogi,
Milarepa's, teachings regarding the building and re-building of communities. Since
there are so many books and courses available these days about the building and
nurturing of communities, it might be a good idea to consider studying some of the
core ideas we've already been given from the Ascended Masters, especially from El
Morya and Gautama Buddha.

So, for the first post, here is the teaching from the Master Morya re: a lesson
on community attributed to Milarepa:


193. The Teacher Milarepa often conversed with animals. Near his retreat bees
nested, ants built cities, parrots flew about, and a monkey was accustomed to perch
himself in imitation of the Teacher. The Teacher said to the ants Tillers and builders,
no one knows of you, yet you raise up lofty communities. He said to the bees You
gather the honey of knowledge and of the best forms, let no one interrupt your sweet
labor. He remarked to a parrot By your screeching I see that you are preparing
yourself to be a judge or a preacher. And he admonished the mischievous monkey
You have destroyed the ant's structure and have stolen another's honey. Perhaps you
have decided to become a usurper.

Who, if not the usurper, appropriates another's labor and casually wrecks structures
under the heel? Many centuries have passed since the time of the Teacher Milarepa,
but usurpers, with the psychology of monkeys, live as before. In the basis of such
vegetative state lies a frightful irresponsibility. What then lies in the basis of
irresponsibility? Precisely the very same ignorance and fear of the future. No
punishment, no restriction will make amends for ignorance.

Large and small usurpers, it is needful for you to learn to recognize the curative power
of the honey and of the ant's sweat. It would seem that this thought is old enough, yet
certain joints of the human consciousness have become so rusty that scores of
centuries could not turn them. Over desert you will talk about prognosis, but the stars
seen through the window will attract less attention than a moth near the candle.
Destroy the worthless wherever it be concealed. Uncover ignorance under any mask
whatever. The world is divided according to the quality of consciousness, and the
degree of ignorance is the measuring rod. Indeed, you know that ignorance is not
cured by leafing through books, but by the synthesis of containment.

AND MONKEYS

Obviously, the master Morya does not think much of imitators of true

Teachers, referring to them as usurpers with the psychologythe mental makeup;

subtle manipulative behaviorof monkeys. Yikes. Might seem a bit harsh when you
first read it, but when you think about it within the context of a spiritual community,
theres not much worse than an imitator of the Teacher on the loose, especially
when the Teacher is no longer physically present.


While true Teachers are known by their heart flames and the emanations of
the Spirit of God within them, usurpers do nothing more than project the ooze of the
downward spiraling energy of human sympathy, which can fool even the most
sincere souls. It takes a certain degree of discernment to recognize when you are
covered withor attracted tothe sticky substance of sympathy from a usurper,
instead of the radiating warmth of illumining compassion from a true Teacher.
Divine compassion radiates and penetrates; human sympathy entraps and
suffocates.


Discernment is key to walking the path of personal Christhood as taught by
the Ascended Masters. Your true Teacher is your own Christ Self, with whom you
can communicate any time day or night. The Ascended Masters are the true
Teachers of The Summit Lighthouse and their original teachings can be found in the
earlier publications and recordings, some of which are even available on The
Summit Lighthouse Channel on YouTube.


EL MORYA ON COMMUNITY, PART 4: COMMUNITY
MOTHS AND THEY PSYCHIC REALM

What could be more disconcerting than a moth flying around a candle at
night?


Throughout the Agni Yoga Series, which were dictated to Helena Roerich by
the Master Morya, moths are mentioned. The master doesnt think much of moths,
especially within spiritual communities:


We do not value communal moths. ~New Age Community, 176 (published in
1929).

Sixty-six years later, the Master once again discussed the problem of moths
within spiritual communities in a dictation through the Messenger Elizabeth Clare
Prophet. This time, he was far more specific regarding how to deal with them:

I also must speak about those who have not been chelas, who have never been
chelas, but who have hung on to this activity like moths flitting around a lamp light. At
times they have gathered around the flame in such numbers that the flame could no
longer be seen.


Therefore, I am seeing to it that these individuals will no longer be a part of this
Community. Some have already left. Some have been removed because they refused to
surrender certain psychic activities that cannot in any way be tolerated in an
organization sponsored by the Ascended Masters. It is a matter of black and white: you
either forsake the psychic or you may not be a part of this organization.


It is often true that individuals who are psychic do not know that they are
psychic, for they have tumbled into the world of illusion, the world of baubles and
trinkets and smoke and mirrors. They have descended in a downward spiral into the
astral plane and, lo and behold, they believe they have found Shangri-la!


Well, beloved ones, I wish to discuss with you the matter of placing yourselves
before teachers other than the Ascended Masters and before teachings other than the
Teachings of the Ascended Masters. If you are determined to take courses from this or
that instructor because he or she professes to teach something you think you ought to
know and yet you are aware that that instructor is psychic or has been identified as
psychic by the Messenger, this is what will happen:


When you place yourself before a teacher who is not tied to the Great White
Brotherhood, who does not have God-control of his four lower bodies or of anger (or
the Martian As the Messenger has listed and who is in some kind of a valley of
indecision, choosing to live neither in Light nor in Darkness but in a gray area, you
open yourself up to receive from that teacher whatever untransmuted substance is
lodged in his electronic belt. (For the pupil is always the one who receives and the
teacher is always the one who gives.) And you will not be able to screen out the psychic
from the nonpsychic; for the psychic vibration pollutes the entire stream of
consciousness of the one who lets himself flow with it. (1)

What happens to individuals within a spiritual community who are aware of
the Law regarding delving into the psychic realm? The Ascended Masters of the
Great White Brotherhood will have nothing to do with you until you clean up your
act.

THE WORTHLESS

What, you might wonder, could possibly be worthless within a spiritual
community? A lot.


Consider what has already been addressed: books that contain false (or
misleading) information; individuals who are as moths around a candle; and, last
but not least, false teacherspeople within the community acting as if they were the
new true teacher, often attracting and entrapping good souls with the sweet
stickiness of human sympathy and the creepiness of utter calm.


And, the antidote? Destroy it wherever it be concealed. Hmm. Once again,
sounds a little harshuntil you contemplate how a successful organization or
business might handle similar situations.


For example, imagine a company that makes gourmet soups. What do you
think their HQ would do if they found out that some of their products had been
contaminated with bacteria that, in any small amount, could make someone very
sick, even kill them? Simple: They choose to take responsibility and notify the public,
recall and destroy the soups and, sometimes, offer free replacements.


Regarding community members who know the Law, who have heard the
Masters teachings regarding the dangers of the psychic and who choose to delve
into the psychic realm anyway: Well, they sort of get what they deserve. Why?
Because, there are no shortcuts on the spiritual path, on the Path of Personal
Christhood as taught by the Ascended Masters of the Great White Brotherhood.
There are no auxiliary paths:


You can fool yourself in many ways, whether by muscle testing or by this or
that something or other that someone has come up with. But in the end, beloved, you
will find that you have made no forward progress whatsoever and that you have
forsaken your spiritual path and your spiritual trust with the Ascended Masters, who
are your Teachers and Gurus. And I say, you will find yourself with a bellyful of psychic
energy and you will have only yourself to rid yourself of it.


Psychic energy is like quicksand. Souls can be sucked into it and actually
defend their right to be doing what they are doing because they are so enmeshed in the
psychic plane and its psychic inhabitants that they can no longer tell the difference
between the spiritual path and the psychic path. This is a tragedy of the age!

There are millions of souls on earth who are following psychic teachers and, as
a result, they are falling by the wayside. Because they are tied to these teachers, they
are unaware that their auric sheath (the light that is closest to the body) is being
bled from them. Unknowingly, they are losing their soul essence. It is being taken
from them not necessarily by spiritualists or crystal-ball gazers but by everyday people
who live in the psychic plane. Therefore know that when you keep company with such
people, you make yourself vulnerable to all levels of the astral plane. When you place
yourself opposite them as a student, you are even more vulnerable. (1)


And, what about false teachers embedded within a spiritual community?
Well, they need to be exposed and routed out right along with everything else that is
worthless. Otherwise, before you know it, an entire community could be swept up in
their defense, wasting much time and precious energy, causing an inordinate and
irretrievable loss of whatever remains in its original cosmic bank account.
Sponsorship by the Great White Brotherhood can never be taken for granted.

BABAJI, UNASCENDED MASTER OF THE HIMALAYA

I recently came across an interesting passage on Babaji, the unascended
master of the Himalayas in The Masters and Their Retreats, where he encourages
his students to use the violet flame and to become more practical as they walk their
spiritual path:

Babaji speaks on behalf of the Brotherhood of the Himalayas, urging his
students to take up the path of the violet flame. He also asks us to find the students
trapped in the false paths and false teachings of India. Babaji tells his students to not
remove themselves into nirvana but to "get over the desire to be the removed one, set
apart and in meditation and in unreality when there is a victory to be won and a battle
to enter."
