Spending Time Alone with God daily in prayer and reading Gods Word can be
life-changing! Jumpstart your T.A.W.G. habit by reading one chapter a day as you
spend time with God and see the difference it makes to your day and in your life!

40-Day T.A.W.G. Jumpstart Challenge

Jesus is the Truth. We will live in deception apart from

Him.
Jesus is the Way. There is no way we can go to the
Father but through Him.

Jesus is the Spring of Life (Jeremiah 2:13). We drink of

Him to quench the thirst in our souls.
Jesus is the Bread of Life (John 6). We receive Him as
our spiritual nourishment.

Jesus is the Shepherd, and we are the sheep (John 10).

We will always go astray if not for Him who looks after
us and brings us back to the flock.

Jesus is the Vine, and we are the branches (John 15).

Our separation from Him means we are cut off from the
source of Life.
In order to know a person better, one takes time to spend
time with them. It is only by spending time with them that
you discover who they really are, their likes and dislikes.
Gods desire for us is to know Him through His Son Jesus
Christ. We do this by spending Time Alone with God daily.
Spending T.A.W.G. is essential for Christians to grow in
intimate relationship with God. Consider the following
biblical truths:

SEEK Christ First

WHAT? What is God trying to say to me from the

passages I read? What can I learn about God? What can
I learn about myself? Is there a truth or promise I can
hold on to?

By studying Gods Word

(This is a great time to own a
Bible!) and by Prayer, we stay
connected to the Source. We
discover who God is and who
we are in Gods eyes. We can
express our love for Him and
receive guidance on how to
live a life that pleases God.
Remember SEEK Christ First:

SO WHAT? Why is this truth important for me? Why

is God telling me this?

NOW WHAT? How can I apply this in my life today?

How can I live the truth it teaches? How can I share this
to others?

E Express your LOVE for God

LOVE Tell him how much He means to You and thank
him for letting you know how much He loves you.

S Set your heart

Spending T.A.W.G is like
setting an appointment with
a VIP (In fact, God is!). Give
undivided attention to God by meeting Him in the least
distracting place and at a time when you are most awake
(Start with 15 minutes a day and watch it grow!) Ask God to
lead you in His presence and with the truth God will show
to you as you read His Word.

E Explore the Word

Open your Bible and carefully read through a
passage and ask God to speak to you through these
passages or verses.

Lets Keep in Touch! (Disciplers Name & Number):

Explore! Ask yourself three key questions:

The Bottom Line:

We cannot do without Him!

OBEY Ask Him to help you obey His word.

VICTORY Ask Him to give you victory this day.

EMPOWERMENT Ask God to empower you to share

Jesus to others

K Keep a journal
Write down Gods message to you during your T.A.W.G and
how you must apply this to your everyday life. You may
also write down your prayer list and keep track of answered
prayers. This will be a great encouragement and
reminder to you of Gods presence and work in your
3
life as you walk with Him.
