Thanks Aisha.
We've been corresponding with Mayors offices all week to verify their paid status
and also reconciling all the lists from previous sources to help the team determine if
A) We had a quorum at the 5.30 election, which we DID and B) if we had a quorum
at the 5.31 Board meeting, which we DID.
Additionally, we are getting mayors caught up to speed who are listed as board
members but have been inactive. Many of these mayors are friends of MKJ's and
would thus be supportive of his actions. Therefore, it is in our best interest to get
these Board members to good standing (aka paid) so they can participate in the
next Board meeting to ouster Vanessa.
Finally, per an update from Alex this morning, MKJ et al will be finished with the
hearing around 6pm EST (3pm PST). We will join the team via teleconference for a
debrief most likely around that time. Adrianne, Astrid, Nicole, and Ben - please be
availabe in case we cal a meeting so you're in the oop on the latest from the court
rearing.
‘Thanks all,
Mariah

Team,
Quick update on what has been going on here in Atlanta over the last
day. We started off the morning with a meeting with Pastor Durley
where the Mayor caught him up on what is going on. Next we went off
to the offices of Ballard Spahr where we held important meetings with
the PR team and developed a PR strategy with regards to this case.
Several key points:
1) Developed a response to the George Curry article which we will use
to respond to any questions related to the article. In addition the PR
team was able to get the local Atlanta black newspaper to not run the
article.
2) Fox 5, the local Atlanta Fox affiliate and reporter Dale Russell, have
gotten permission to film the proceedings. We have reached out to
Dale and explained to him our story. He seems to be sympathetic to
the new leadership.
3) The mayor prefers not to be the face of this matter until the case is
resolved. David Pittinsky (Legal) and Jeff Dickerson (PR) will speak for
the Mayor, STF, and Mayors Green and Ajoku.
Next we had a discussion with C21 communications which was good
and they will probably be on board for the rebranding efforts.
Next the team put Mayors Johnson, Ajoku, and Green through practice
on the testimony. Midway through this we got the response from
Vanessa Williams and Sue Winchester which has significant
falsifications. The team worked through ways to rebut these
falsifications and feels that it has a very strong case.
It is possible that the matter will be resolved tomorrow, however
another possibility is that there will be a continuance to next week as
there is a significant amount of testimony that has to be given.
T just want to comment that all of the members of the team from PR to
Legal have been very helpful and are bringing great resources to this
case.
