Procedure to change the Output Oil seal of MGB

1. Dismantle the extruder by taking out

a. Die.
b. Adopter.
c. Melt pump (If applicable)
d. Screen changer.
e. Screw and cleaned it properly.
f. Cyclone.
g. Hopper.
h. Clean the barrel properly.
i. Prepare a support below the barrel and loose all the bolts of feeder
sleeve and shift the barrel atleast 2 feet from the gear box.
j. Take out the dowel pins of output flange of MGB then, loose all the
bolts of output flange.
k. Gently take out the output flange by using chain pulley block, so that it
will not damage shaft surface.
l. Take out both the oil seals from the flange.
m. Check for any groove formation over the shaft surface and also check,
previously the oil seal position shifted or not. If there is no problem in
shaft surface then, we can place both the seal in the flange else
measure the distance and prepare a seem in order to shift the position
of oil seals.
n. Then apply grease OKS 424 in between oil seal (within the V shape
after fitment of oil seals in the flange)
o. Now properly clean the surface of gear box where flange need to be
mount.
p. Apply sealant Make- Fevicol 191 over the surface.
q. Now gently put the flange and tight it properly.
r. Then put all the things in sequence.
