Dear Nurse Recruiter,
Im writing you today regarding the Registered Nurse position available
on the burn unit at Tampa General Hospital. I am a student nurse
completing my last semester at University of South Florida. My
graduation date is August 6th. I completed my preceptorship of 180
hours on that particular unit. In addition to my classes curriculum I
have a certification in Basic Life Support CPR.
As an RN student on the burn unit, Ive assisted my preceptor in
performing wound care, medication administration, IV therapy drug
initiation, EKG interpretation, and more. Ive chosen the burn unit
because after I completed my clinical hours on the burn unit during
Medical Surgical I, I truly enjoyed learning from the amazing staff that
is put together here and I loved performing wound care. The teamwork
here is incredible, the staff is very knowledgeable, and they made me
feel like home throughout my journey of initial nursing experience.
I am highly motivated to learn, and I am able to keep my focus in high
stress situations. I am positive, friendly and enthusiastic. I am easy to
get along with and I am a team player. My qualifications and
experiences make me a great candidate to be considered for this
