Work Instruction:
1. Check all permit are cancelled.
Electrical System checking for 6.3KV.
a. Check Earthing Switch is not engaged. The same can be done by checking the position of the earthing
switch lock available at the front side of the panel. Also check the status of the earthing switch lamp. The
Earthing switch indication lamp should not glow.
b. Check whether the breaker is in service position. Check the indication Truck service position is ON
and the indication Truck Test position is OFF
c. Ensure that the "Local/Remote" selector switch is in Remote position if the equipment need to be started
from DCS/SCADA.
d. Ensure there is no alarm/operation indication in the relay.
e. ross check the status of the breaker and the earth switch from SCADA monitor

2. Electrical System checking for 6.3KV.

3. Pls sent the boiler operator near to ID fan .check the Bearing cooling water inlet & outlet valve
should be open condition. Bearing oil level should be more than 50%.
4. Ensure the suction & discharge damper of the ID fan in open condition.
5. Take clearance from operator, start the fan.
6. Open the ID fan IGV immediately to 15%, monitor the current.
7. Check in local any abnormal sound and vibration. Monitor the IGV link condition
8. Slowly load the fan depends upon furnace pressure.
9. The above sequence of steps has to be followed in reverse for stopping the fan
