Those who have been recorded our PIN only should be
allotted a separate scheduled to get in contact to the Phonein Programme to clear off the doubts.
As this Phone-in Programme is CRUCIAL exampler the
participants should only ventilate his academic problem with
respect to the doubts arised in this book. No other things are
entertained as time is precious.
For the convenience of the children your phone calls
are CHRONOLOGICALLY recorded.

About the Selection Test

Centre of Examination :
Each candidate shall appear for the selection test at the examination centre allotted to him/her as indicated on the Admit Card. No candidate is permitted to appear from any other centre. No request for change
of centre will be entertained. No candidate can appear in the Selection.
Test without proper Admit Card. The competent authority for issuing the
Admit Card is Principal, JNV.

Language of Examination :
The Language / Medium of the examination for the candidate will
be the medium through which the candidate is studying in Class - V.

Composion of the Test :

The Selection Test will be of two-hour duration and will hae 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 100 questions in all of
100 marks. Each question carries one mark.

a) A single test booklet comprising of the 3 sections will be given to

each candidate.
b) A candidate will be given a test booklet in the language he/she
has mentioned in the application form. The test booklet is availabele in

HOW TO GET AN APPLICATION FORM ?

Application forms for admission may be made on the prescribed
Application Form (attached at the end of the prospectus) available free
of cost from:
(i) Block Education Officer (BEO)
(ii) District Education Officer (DEO)
(iii) Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, In case of nonavailability of JNVST prescribed Application Form from the
above, you may copy the format of Application Form on plain
paper (preferably 21 cm X 30 cm) from our web site at the
address http://www.navodaya.nic.in or the news paper
advertisement and apply on it.

Dear Parents & Teachers

To provide quality higher education to children who would
otherwise remain deprived of all due to social economic or other
limitations, the Government of India have evolved a scheme under which
residential co-educational NAVODAYA VIDYALAYAS are being
established on an average, one in each district.
The Navodaya Vidyalaya will be fully financed and managed
by Navodya Vidyalaya Samithi, an autonomous organisation set up by
the Government of India. While education is free in Navodaya Vidyalayas
including boarding, lodging, uniforms and text books. The Vidyalayas
will have separate hostels for boys and girls. Admission to Navodaya
Vidyalayas is done in class VI.
In this Vidyalayas, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samithi is
conducting an entrance exam based on VI class. The small booklet will
be helpful as a prepare for that and hope will come out success. After
going through if you are unable to understand one or the other points,
you can clarify those by participating in our Phone-in Programme. We
hope you attend your Entrance Test and assure a seat.
