Rationale
PowerSchool (a
Pearson Company)
recently acquired Haiku
Learning and I believe
this will become the
tool to beat as it
combines both a
Student Information
System (PowerSchool)
with an awesome
Learning Management
System (Haiku
Learning). I would not
hesitate to run an
online class with this
high-powered
combination. Making
seamless connections
to all shareholders
including
administrators. This
tool can handle every
type of connection.
Celly brands itself as,
empowers over a
million students,
teachers, parents, and
organizations to
communicate,
collaborate, &
cowdfund. I would use
it in a blended
classroom situation if I
did not have a true
LMS.
With Celly all
shareholders can use
SMS to encourage
discussions backchanneling in or
outside of class.

Google Classroom

Todays Meet

* NOTE- All of the tools

allow teachers and
learners to connect in
all three ways.

Learner-Teacher,
Learner-Learner,

I currently use Google

Classroom and about
all I cant do with it is
use it as a viable
connection to our
PowerSchool SIS. I can
however; use this as a
type of LMS as it
provides for all the
connections and
Google is awesome at
responding to teacher
feedback. I would only
use this tool in a
blended format as of
right now.
I will be using Google
Classroom this school
year because the
school I teach at is a
GAfE school that will
be going 1:1
Chromebooks.
I would use Todays
Meet for backchannel
communications for
learner-learner
connections. I have
had great experiences
using this as a back
channel during
conferences.
