Assessment Evidence
After giving students a set of coins (quarters, dimes, nickels, pennies), teacher asks students to identify
and make certain amounts of money with their coins. At the same time, the teacher is walking around,
observing and noting what each student came up with.
Questions to ask students:
Show me a penny
Show me a nickel
Show me a dime
Show me a quarter
Show me 7 cents
Show me 15 cents
Show me 50 cents
Show me $1.00 using dimes
I can continue to ask for the value of any combination of coins
